  1. Sounds weird I know but........Does anyone know what the round piece of metal is for that's between the tail light and fuse box? Its mounted on rubber and is round with a diameter of about 2 inches and about an inch and half thick.
  2. If anyone lives in Southampton, a load of us are meeting at 0800 at the White Swan Pub in Mansbridge for a ride down. We're leaving at 0830.

Sod the condom, who wants to wear a wetsuit anyway? On a serious note, TYRES, TRYES, TYRES, check the pressure, wear e.t.c and check all your lights are working and clean. 200 miles isn't that far really for a trip but always check your tyres regularly, they're the single most important thing to check.
  5. Thanks for all the advice but ended up phoning cresent suzuki. I was informed that my existing relay which has more than one function had a light blue and brown wire which needed to be taken out and wired into my new relay. I got home, tried and it worked a treat. Very simple if you know how. In any case it proves that there are many ways to overcome electric issues depending on the bike, year etc. Many thanks for everyones advice once again. P:S the LED indicators look much better too .......happy days
  6. God sounds hectic, My relay doesn't have an earth, only 2 wires which are red and black
  7. Evening all Just fitted my new LED indicators but haven't got a clue where to or how to wire the new relay which only has 2 cables coming out of it. I do have some kind of box next to the fuses but this has about 10 cables going into it and don't think it's the relay as when I unplugged it the neutral light didn't work as well as the indicators. Any pointers greatly received. Cheers
  8. I went last year as a pillion and really enjoyed it....this year I'm going to be on my own bike and can't wait. Anybody wanna meet in or near Southampton for a ride down?
  9. Yea I thought it might have been an earth problem, the only mod I've done is fit a new can to it. I'll be fitting some LED indicators soon so hopefully the cause will become apparent then. Cheers guys
  10. Evening all, I have a bandit 1200 K4 and when I indicate my headlight and tail light dim as the indicators flash. I've seen this on old cars before and wonder what the problem is........any suggestions? Cheers all
  11. Try using some brake cleaner to wash out the calipers, pads and discs. My wheels squeak after rain but with a clean become fine.
  12. I have one of those V2 sponge thingies, I got it free in a bike mag and have to say it works a treat on bugs etc and uses only water which is a bonus. http://www.visorvision.co.uk/shop/index.php
  13. Cheers guys, It is supposed to be specific to the bike and I do hear that scorpion are one of the few that genuinely develop bike specific exhausts. Mind you I reckon I best check the spark plugs too, just to see what colour they are.
  14. Afternoon, Just noticed a few flames spitting from the my new scorpion can, it's a street extreme carbon on a 1200 bandit. Is this the norm or should I get her down to have the carbs looked at? cheers
  15. Thanks gents, I'll shall have a butchers soon
  16. Afternoon all, I would like to change my huge industrial indicators for some smaller LED jobbies and I'm sure I'll need to fit new relay. May seem a dumb question but does anyone know where it is on a 1200 K4 bandit? Cheers
  17. sorry this link is better http://www.performance-bridgedale.co.uk ... -297-p.asp although cotswold do sell them.
  18. Consider the socks you wear too. I wear Bridgedale "coolmax" liner socks and that's it and my feet are fine in my non-biker but still full on gore-tex lowa mountain boots. The liner socks are designed to wick sweat away into your main socks and therefore help keep the feet cool and dry, but I just wear them on there own on the bike and that keeps em even cooler. happy days check em out https://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/webpoin ... 19-group2=
  19. Well I've now picked it up, fitted it (baffles out ) and after a bit of tinkering with some exhaust gum sealer and the clap from new link pipe it's ready to go! So I went out and yes! yes! yes! Sound is amazing on a 12 and defo more power too, I good buy and I highly recommend scorpion from now on.
  20. Evening all, I have ordered the above exhaust for my 1200 k4 bandit and should have it this weekend at some point. Does anyone have any tips or thoughts on the fitting and just generally about the can on this bike. Cheers
  21. Well the dark ones are for race use yea but I got a light tint to ease the sun in the eyes a little bit and they're cool otherwise infinity wouldn't sell em........ I'm gonna get a dark too anyways, f**k the police, if you can wear any sunglasses you like then why not a visor? It's a carp law me thinks.
  22. I wouldn't about it wondering that much if its only 50 to 100 revs, mine does the same and was better after some fuel system cleaner and a good thrash as it had been stored as well. Mine idles at 1100 and always wonders until it's warmed up properly, and that means a good 10 mins before I set off otherwise the revs are all over the show. It's a blessing in disguise not being able to jump on and ride straight away too as it give a chance for the oil to warm up and fully circulate around the engine. Quick tip, don't rev the engine just before turning it off as it can leave a load of unburnt fuel in the carbs which can make starting it next time a pain, always let it idle for maybe 20 seconds or so and then turn it off, even longer if you want but that's not like as critical as if you had a turbo or anything.
  23. "it was f*cking fast" lol that was funny yea, not a bad race all in all but I was pieved that I had to put up with BBC commentary as I missed it on eurosport.......I hate the bloody BBC, they're so carp it's unreal.
  24. It was £160 mate, it's so comfy and just does what a bike jacket is meant to do, great!
  25. Just got this from hein gericke and I have to say it ace. http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/popu ... p/pID/3124
