  1. Sale of Goods Act is quite clear on this. Repair. replace or refund. It is YOUR choice which, not theirs. As the retailer they are responsible, not the manufacturer, so they have to deal with it and sort it out to your satisfaction. There are very few exceptions to this, a notable one being where you have already accepted a repair you can not then reject the goods and demand a refund or replacement.
  2. "a motorcycle officer in the road policing unit of another force" sounds to me like journospeak for "I can sensationalise this story further by quoting someone, from somewhere, who said something, at some time in the past". Had the journalist really wanted accurate figures from another force they are easily attainable using the FOIA. I wonder why he quotes an unverifiable source instead? On that ratio NWP would be finding 9,125 riders who HAD committed an offence! That's quite horrific by any standard. Now I wonder why MCN are not campaigning to reduce the number of offences being committed? If there were fewer offenders, maybe NWP wouldn't feel moved to stop so many so often. As I said previously, the number of offences uncovered justifies the action they are currently taking... in their eyes, and I have to say currently in mine too The biking community really don't do themselves any favours by ignoring the lawbreakers and targetting instead the law enforcers in this way.
  3. That's not the complete picture though... So 1 in 8 DO break the law, which to be frank seems to me to be justification for stopping that many in the first place.
  4. no indicators needed you should treat it as a road and carry out all observations, shoulder checks etc
  5. Not done it myself, but my GSXF has been done, and it was taken from the top.
  6. Just a thought. Have you tried deleting any site-specific cookies and re-entering the details from scratch?
  7. Any fully synthetic 2 stroke oil will do the job. I used Castrol in mine right up until the day it was stolen Running in is quite important with those engines. If you do exceed 6k at this stage, do it for occasional bursts of speed, not for long stretches of dual carriageway, that way there's less risk of damage through overheating.
  8. It's easy. If you're a car driver already and can apply common sense you should have no problem. Look here http://www.all4bikers.com/theory/theory_reg.php for free practice tests
  9. I bought some fully synthetic gear oil for my other rs 125 bike. No wonder it went bang after 3 months lol. But will do what you said mate. I've done about nearlly 200 miles of running my new top end in. Is this enough? Oil - Aprilia specify FULLY synthetic for the RS 200 - Not enough. Needs at least 500/600 before building revs above 6k

    Tank Protection

Have tried syringe, it does work Also, spray dilute washing up water on the surface first, use a credit card as a squeegee to press firmly from the centre outwards, expelling air (and washing up water) as you go. The water allows you to reposition before you squeegee, and helps to expel air.

Borrow a syringe, suck the air out.

  13. http://www.all4bikers.com/theory/theory_reg.php Good luck with it
  14. On a car, bad earth. On a bike, I'd guess the same. Check all earthing points for the indicators and other lights.
  15. Congrats and well done! Enjoy your new bike (when it arrives)
  16. I have used 4 different helmets from 3 different manufacturers in the last 2 months. All have fitted me perfectly, but they were 3 different sizes (S, L and XL) apparently.
  17. More power largely due to the 210cc engine that's been fitted at a guess
  18. For the benefit of those who still need to do Mod 1, if you look close enough at the tarmac, you can generally see tyre tracks to give you a sense of where to go! As the MPTC gets more use, the tracks should become more easily seen
  19. The latter. Bike boots are made for the job and will allow you to feel the gear change etc while still giving you the protection you need if you come off your bike. Magnums may well be nice and sturdy, but won't necessarily afford the same level of protection when you need it. Horses for courses really On the other hand, since you're talking Magnums, mine's a Double Choc please **posts merged by PG**
  20. Guy from my training school that tested same time as me did exactly the same thing. Got a little too close to the cone and his foot took it out Look on the bright side, you're getting loads of U turn practice Good luck for next time!
