Had a great day, good to meet some 'faces' at last. Arrived during a Fast session and have to admit thought 'sh*t...no way I could do this!!! ' But have to say the Novice seemed kinda do-able........ Phil did really well and I'm sorry to say Phil but my future as Track Photographer looks unlikely....lots of blurs n some ok ones of complete strangers More determined to have a go at this now than ever!!!

Got this pencilled in..... plan to come in van n bring tea/coffee catering etc......any requests?? What times u all aiming to get there?

Right - just spoke to Mrs Todhunter...lovely lady....likes to talk!!! Campsite has usual facilities tho shower is in house (small donation to charity to use it). Its a nice sheltered field well back off road and tucked away so bikes are safe. Pub also has a marquee out back that weekend so if weather less than perfect we can spill into there in evening. OK............I've spoken to the pub (landlords a biker) First weekend is going to be best for campsite, vintage rally other weekend and v small pub! Pub gets busy on weekends...but if they have a rough idea of how many of us to expect they are happy to 'cater up' and will lay on extra chilli/curry etc (and probably a couple of extra barrels ). Camping is 250m away at Greenhill Farm CA7 8JG - Arthur & Joan Todhunter 016974 78453 Several B&Bs in village - google Hesket Newmarket. Plenty of room on campsite but best not left too late as BH weekend!! Will bump this nearer to time

I found mu HJC quieter than my new Arai... but the HJC is a bit small. Thinking of selling when I get round to taking photos.....barely used.

What sort of night-stop are you planning Simon????? Dates are good for me anyway....Devils Bridge meet ok too...tho will have to set my alarm clock... Soooo exciting...... they also do Family rooms, but lets not go there....... anyway you might be bringing your bloke...? No... Well ...if he's going to be 'difficult' over the True North meet ...........stuff him!.........

I haven't forgotten about this guys. Problem has been convincing OH to let us use his place...still not there yet but not got a def 'NO' yet either. Still need some form of back-up plan and one that springs to mind is Hesket Newmarket (nr Caldbeck). Handy for motorway, N fells etc. There is a small campsite there tucked away on a farm and a great little brew pub 30yds away http://www.theoldcrownpub.co.uk/ Plus any number of B&Bs for comfort lovers... Theres an annual vinatge bike rally held here so must be bike friendly....2nd weekend in May so that dates out for here. So ....do we go for May Day bank holiday weekend? or...The last B hol weekend in May and go for another venue? Or ....one of the weekends in between? (any chance of a poll... oh great ones in Mod Land?...pleeeze) One last thing.......if I do manage to convince HIM what do you think of a donation each towards toilets, a BBQ etc????
