1. Nice!, but can't ride on cbt anyway Bridget will be fine
2. Free lunch then
3. The Hitcher yes i can drive but our car is through motability and technically it should only be used for the service user's benefit, so she doesn't have to be in the car as long as it's used for her, so thing's like going shopping or other stuff for her is fine, but anything else that is deemed not for her benefit is not covered so for example if i wanted to go fishing i couldn't use it and would be driving without insurance and having 2 cars is unrealistic, which is why i initially got Xena
4. Yes very happy, just taxed her but it can take upto 5 days for it to register, but as far as i'm concerned she is now legal to ride once i get the L plates on, which will be done tomorrow then will take her for a spin around
5. Bridget's home, did a vin search and she was manufactured in Asia in 2000 and first registered 2002, haven't had much chance to look over her but she starts stops and go's
6. Bridget should be home around 5, just finished sorting the shed and making space for her, Both girls will be able to stand side by side now
7. If you settle and looks like you might have to at this stage, there will be a clause which they will want you to sign regarding any future claims against the third party, do not sign it, leave yourself some breathing space so that if you wanted to you could take them to a small claims court and make a personal claim against them directly
8. I got some thermals from Go Outdoors last week, going to try them out when i go to J & S later
9. Starting to get butterflies in anticipation of Bridgets arrival, it's worse than going on a blind date at least you can have a drink while you're waiting
10. Hello and welcome
11. That is how is should be, perhaps telling them that might give them a kick up the arse, maybe having a dig around in some of the small print might throw something up about their responsibility as an insurer to deal with your claim, which if they don't do could leave them open to breach of contract or something
12. My inlaws were hit in their car a few years ago they had a BMW they would only settle on a like for like as they only had the car a few weeks, the other insurance company had to have one commissiond direct from Germany as the specs of their car was the only one in this country, took nearly 8 months for the replacement
13. Have already started looking
14. When i was looking this past week, i didn't notice any ZZR600's at that price many were well into £2000 and above, if they won't settle on a decent amount tell them you want an identical bike instead
15. So you’re riding Bridget in the colder months and Xena in the warmer months?? Not sure yet, looking at the pictures of Bridget, she looks to be in near mint condition and original, so would be a shame to possibly ruin her over the winter, she might end up being a long term keeper
16. Bridget's being delivered on Monday
17. Nice! The Sinophobes breathe a sigh of relief.
18. Bought one a Honda CG125 and only £75 to add it to my insurance
19. Does it really matter? You'll only change your mind again in 10 minutes. Absolutely right, i'm after a cheap winter hack to use now, pointless me getting a big bike as i won't be able to use it anyway, so any piece of crap for around £500 will do for over winter, still doing my DAS so no worries there, then i can trade in the hack in the spring
20. seen a Suzuki Bandit 600 2005 looks very clean £1000 with a lowered seat would that be worth a punt on
21. Nothing sinnister intended, was interested if anyone kept theirs on the street and if they had any people interfereing with it, perhaps i should have made the title more specific
22. I would just widen it yourself or play the disability card and get them to do all the work for you but then it might not be wide enough for a bike or they might ask you to move I'll take a photo later today
23. Have a decent sized front garden and a very handy steel handrail, the problem is getting through the gate from the street, i have thought about contacting the council asking for it to be widened on the grounds of " My partners wheelchair sometimes gets caught on the gate hardware, and has damaged her waterproof cover while going through it" which is still an option
24. I could fabricate a sectional steel cage to surround it when parked up
25. It's the access, the front gate has a max width of 31 inches, then to get round the back has to get through another gate of max width 28 inches, down a narrow path 3ft then a righthand turn at 90 degrees to get down a slightly wider path into the back garden where i park Xena, I had a similar thing in one of my houses! Then when we was looking at buying a new place the focus was on a decent size garage Unless i have a decent lottery win that isn't an option
