1. Tinted are fine for daytime use but carry a clear one if there is a chance of having to ride in the dark
2. that was funny
3. temp post for further photos.
4. A few photo's before i get too far ahead I don't think she's had a wash or clean since new
5. Fred use the up button in the bottom right hand corner of the text box
6. Fair play to you
7. Yes there was but on the very bottom right hand corner of each post is an up arrow that will take it back to the top of the page
8. Very nice!, will do enough to ride it safely over winter then come spring will give it a good overhaul
9. I bought some cheap Frank Thomas ones last week, not worn them yet still wearing my summer ones
10. Get some heated ones or fit heated grips
11. Can't find anything on t'interweb, so unless it is specifically classed as a Motorway like parts of the A1(M) then i doubt there are any restrictions
12. I am intending to ride her, but i do need a rear tyre and while it's off would it be worth replacing the other bits just as a matter of course, once you start though it's that same old thing " well that doesn't look as nice now since i changed that" one reason i hate decorating it never flamin' stops once you start, so irrespective of outlay doing it all in one go and getting it out of the way or do just enough and do it bit by bit
13. A few things to consider, are you riding with L plates and not just on a driving licence entitlement if you have one, as a learner you can ride on any road except for Motorways and 50cc are not permitted on the motorways at all irrespective of licence type
14. 2002 Honda CG125 M1/1
15. that is the $64000 question, i haven't had chance for any photo's of bridget today, so for some background info, she is a little rough in places although not a great deal of rust which appears to be surface rather than structual rot, the paintwork is flat but no signs of damage, the wheels are dull but should shine up well with some polish, everything works although the lights tend to flicker whilst idling, so some guidance from the more knowledgable folk, i haven't ridden her properly yet as the chain is very slack and the rear sprocket is badly corroded which will need replacing, as will the rear tyre, so quite a few jobs can be done at the same time, i also need to check the brakes which is another job whilst the wheels are off, other than that she seems to run fine if not a little rich which might be remedied with the new filter, so some help on which way to go will be useful as to go for a restoration as close to original as possible, or go restoration with upgrades like updating the electrical system, changing the drum brakes to disc, and maybe some performance upgrades in the way of chain and sprockets, and anything else that springs to mind
16. It's more of a whimper than a scream. If i have taken it off i usually put it inside to warm up before i put it back on, although to be fair it's the batteries that are usually affected by the cold
17. TBH i felt more vulnerable i suspect because i'm not used to riding that particular bike, also had to do an emergency stop ( for real ) about half way through, i guess it's part of the learning process
18. No! i did actually hate it, about 5 mins into the ride i was ready to quit, but i decided to carry on and see it through
19. I have the aches and pains i am a classic glutton for punishment, anyone got the number for Miss Whiplash i seem to have lost it
20. Booked my second lesson for next week, by the way did i mention i'm a twat for wind ups
21. The only reason i was contemplating doing the full A was for the possibilty of using a wheelchair accessible sidecar outfit, but i can already ride a trike on my licence, so getting one with a wheelchair conversion is also a possibility, a Goldwing hunting here we come
22. There isn't anything the fazer could do that my 125 can't, the bike isn't much heavier than Xena but the handling is crap, it's heavy on the front, the riding position is not my style and i am aching after only a couple of hours, the suspension is non existant, i ride for pleasure and that fazer was for from it, i don't need to go fast to get a buzz just being on the bike does that
23. Thanks James, i think 2 bikes is enough plus i don't have room for another
24. Went and did my first lesson on a 600 Fazer, was out for a couple of hours and did ok but it is not for me just didn't like it, it wasn't just one thing in paricular it was lots of different things, so thanks but no thanks will stick with my 125's
25. Well the pictures make her look better she is a little rough in places, she did struggle to start this morning and seems to be running rich, put the L's on her so will give her a road test later this afternoon when i get back from my DAS training
