  1. I have an Arai chaser for work and a Shoei xr1000 for pleasure, both extremely comfy. Tried the whole range of AGV lids recently when i was looking to buy the Shoei and they are so uncomfortable. My head was in pain just from trying them on
  2. This year is the first bike show i've attended since about '84. I now know why i left it for so long
  3. Utter Bo**ocks mate. You can do a CBT on a geared bike very easily. After all, it isn't a test, its a certificate of competence
  4. Got into them as a young kid in the late 60's early 70's riding crossers and old British bikes in woods and fields. got a moped at 16 and passed my test in '82. Been riding ever since. Had a spell as despatch rider in London, fantastic fun but rubbish money. Gave me a buzz the first time i swung my leg over a bike and still does to this day
  5. Definatly more than 3000. There was easily as many that went to the Wirrak egg run and that drew 10000. As for if it will have an effect, time will tell. Agree with Voodoo, a dark visor yesterday would've been very helpfull, was struggling to see the road at times, with my iridium i would not have had problems
  6. ROFPMSL. Thats funny Voodoo, thank god they're not quite that big
  7. Ha ha, was a superb day TC. Made even more fun by seeing Honda lights getting smaller and smaller in my mirrors LMAO Only messing Mate, great to meet up with you all again
  8. It was a fantastic day Derek. Tried to call you a couple of times to see where you where, but it wouldn't be possible to find anyone in that lot lol. Couldn't even see the road at the pondy lol
  9. My god!!!!!!!! What a turn out! Never seen so many bikes at the Ponderosa. Was a cracking day out and maybe the message got accross
  10. What you been upto?
  11. Yes, just off the r/bout for the A530/A500. Could be there for 10 and up to Chester in plenty of time. The more the merrier mate
  12. hi Brooklyn. I'm going to be meeting up at Gerickes in Chester at 11 and then down to the Ponderosa. I f you want, can meet at the Sainsburys in Nantwich?
  13. Very strange crashes Roy. Neither one of them seemed to be pushing overl hard, the fronts just collapsed on them both. Have to say though, having never been a fan of Pedrosa or immpressed by him, he has been riding very well recently. And his performance after his spill today was outstanding. Lorenzo though, is looking superb. When he stops having the offs, Rossi has his work cut out to keep beating him
  14. Looks like there will be a big meet up at Heine Gericke in Chester at 11am amd then on to the Ponderosa for midday. I'll be doing this if anybody wants to join up
  15. Your usual kit then Dave
  16. Will be on a silver Fazer 1000 with Givi top box. Will be wearing Alpinestars Goretex suit and Arai chaser helmet
  17. Ok, meeting at the Ponderosa. Be there for 12 o'clock. If you are going PM me and we can arrange how to recognise eah other
  18. I believe it is an ambition first thought of Brunstrom and now being pushed by his succesor. Having people with ideas like that can only be bad for us. Think this ride could be more than just a protest about stop checks, and more to point out that we have our liberties to ride where we please at stake
  19. Here's another group going http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=248667495133&ref=mf
  20. Agreed about the sesationalised headlines Dave. Went on a ride a few years back protesting about all the police road blocks and harrasment. There where about a 1000 bikes in convoy and the general public where out applauding us, much like at the Wirral egg run. The trouble with the Police in North Wales is they have lost the support of the local populace with their constant harrasment of the motorist, of all kinds, and forgetting about real crime, you know the sort, with a victim. If anyone who goes to this keeps it legal then they have no need to stop you. If you do get stopped, whils being legal and giving no reason to be stopped, then surely that is wrong. I love riding in Wales, fantastic scenery and grat roads. My bike is standard and completly legal, but i hate the idea of getting pulled over and having some condecending little twerp giving me a lecture on bikes and how dangerous they are
  21. Fantastic trip Derek. Been along most of those roads in an Artic, must get the bike up there 1 day. Just got to convince Lynne that she would enjoy it
  22. Ok, suggested meeting places. There is the obvious, Ponderosa, or The caff on the A5 near Conwy, not sure what its called. Post up any options and we can see which is more favourable
  23. Can any of you Mods put a poll thingy up to see who's coming and where to meet. Cheers
  24. So, if these riders are not breaking the law what are the fines etc that people are moaning about ? If they were not breaking any laws they would take it further and win the case. Let's face it if you speed and get pulled it's a fair cop, If your plate is undersized, it's a fair cop, If your pipes are not for road use, it's a fair cop, tinted visors, coloured headlight covers the list goes on. The law may be an ass but it is the law. Don't do anything to draw attention to yourself and you will be OK. As has been stated you will get ar*eholes up there doing all the wrong things and proving Brunstrom right. It will serve no valuable purpose, only to malign the vast majority of riders. I see what your saying cruz, but you get the idiots up there in cars aswell but there are no roadblocks pulling every car in and giving them a lecture. If your on a bike up there, you will get pulled over at some time, regardless of wether you where doing something wrong or not.
  25. Its on a Sunday Caz Fine then ill get the sunday off
