  1. Thats the point though QB. In North Wales, you don't need to break the law to get tugged
  2. brekky sounds good. Will have to cancel work on that day to make sure i go to this
  3. Thanks Wiggleit, see if it gets any interest.
  4. Nice one Derek. Will have to hope it has some effect. Fair points Phil, though if you take the pee in any area you will get pulled. Just would be nice not to have to put up with the way they treat us in Wales. Fair enough, if i do something daft then pull me, if not, leave me alone

  6. Go to Wales loads Deso. The Mrs asks why and i just say "look around you". Can never get bored with that kind of scenery Llanraedyr Falls and Lake Vyrnwy from last year http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/9564/dscf1014t.jpg http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/3548/dscf1024x.jpg http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/926/dscf1033.jpg
  7. Had a good ride yesterday, about 200 miles with the Mrs round Mid Wales. Left Crewe and headed out to Oswestry, Welshpool, Newtown and Llanidloes and went to Lyn Clywedog.Took the B road from there to Macynleth(sp) and back towards Welshpool and home to Crewe. Some stunning scenery on the way and some great roads, apart from coming into Newtown, massive queues. Glad i wasn't in the car for that. Must've filtered for 5 miles, even though quite a few cars wanted to stop us. http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/4420/dscf0516l.jpg http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/9201/dscf0517p.jpg http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/3934/dscf0522p.jpg http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/16/dscf0523x.jpg http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/8796/dscf0529q.jpg http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/8533/dscf0526k.jpg h
  8. Think your sitting on the fence a bit there Voodoo lol. Must admit, it wasn't as good as last year, and a tad pricey too.
  9. Was a good day out. And makes a change to ride in the dry lol
  10. We'll be there, dodging the speed nazis on the way in lol
  11. We will be there about 11ish. Looks like we may have a dry day for once lol. Oh, and watch out for Plodwyn on your way up there, they will be out in force that day

    New tyre time

Just put a set of Michelin Road Pilots on the Fazer, they are superb. Havn't had Michelin for about 10 years, lost confidence in them, but these are superb. Had been running Pirrelli Corsa's but these are much better, especially in the wet
  13. 170 miles round Wales. A great time was had, only spoiled by the filth buzzing me in the helicopter near Whitchurch. Passed over head at between 50-100 feet max. Was doing a steady pace, but not the sort of pace to attract that kind of attention. Massive piece of overkill. http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/2360/dscf0309u.jpg http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/2043/dscf0310z.jpg http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/2382/dscf0311.jpg http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/3849/dscf0312v.jpg http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/5485/dscf0313t.jpg ht http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/1880/dscf0315p.jpg http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/5593/dscf0316i.jpg http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/4672/dscf0317o.jpg http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/126/dscf0318h.jpg http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/8209/dscf0319h.jpg http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/7716/dscf0320z.jpg http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/9181/dscf0321oms.jpg http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/5528/dscf0322z.jpg http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/3780/dscf0323u.jpg http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/9602/dscf0324h.jpg http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/4414/dscf0325r.jpg http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/8455/dscf0326y.jpg http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/4691/dscf0327u.jpg http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/8039/dscf0328n.jpg http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/3315/dscf0329l.jpg http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/1972/dscf0330l.jpg http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/7650/dscf0331e.jpg http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/5452/dscf0332ipb.jpg
  14. Thanks for all the wishes on Lynnes health. We have a couple of weeks off coming up, so the rest will do her good
  15. Going to have to call off this weekend. As some of you may know, my Lynne got a chest infection recently. Sitting in a cold wet field with no proper shelter wouldn't be the best idea, and her health is more important to me then anything else. Also have to agree with MadMally, the customer service of the MFN owners is pretty poor to say the least. I certainlt won't be darkening his doorstep in any future events.
  16. Well i've been riding for 30+ years, 28 with a full lisence, and never done a right LS leaving a roundabout
  17. If you're on a larger roundabout (2 or more lanes) and are going right at the roundabout you'd need to initially position yourself in the right lane. At the penultimate exit to yours you should "mirror, signal, shoulder check left" and move across to the left lane ready for the exit (move left early to "shut that gap off" so no one can undertake, making you go round again). As you've positioned left, you've left a gap to your right where another vehicle can (and has done on me!) try to rush through and take the same exit as you but cut across you just as you're turning in. So giving a final quick right lifesaver will let you know if anyone's trying to do that. EDIT: on a smaller, single lane roundabout only a left lifesaver is required, because you're all the way across to the right until you need to come off anyway. You got the first bit right, but the right shoulder check is completly wrong. As you have left the roundabout you will be about to accelerate. And before any change of speed you will be doing a mirror check. which is sufficiant on test and CBT and for your normal riding
  18. But to exit a roundabout your crossing traffic to the left, so you look left to make sure your not being under taken. You only look the way you are going, where it will affect you. If you look right when exiting thn you are not looking where all the danger to yourself is coming from
  19. The Cat and Fiddle on Sunday. Was a little moist http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/935/dscf0274cpf.jpg
  20. Oopps, forgot that bit. We stayed at Symonds Yat, near Ross on Wye. Got there on the Friday. Saturday, we went to Hereford for fuel, back road to Monmouth, down to Chepstow, over the old Severn bridge, M4 and then M5 to Weston Super Mare, accross country to Cheddar, back up to Bristol through Wells, up the A38 to Gloucester and accross to Ross and back to the hotel. Some nice roads and a hell of alot of rain
  21. I had to put that one up Gary, and one of the Goretex, just in case you'd forgotten
