  1. Usually just a set of French knickers off the nearest washing line........moisture control??????
  2. Ive got mine soaked quite a few times, long time to dry but no damage what so ever. You can get an waterproof oversuit for a few pounds though saves the messing around. Guy
  3. i always wear my lid, then depending on how far im going i wear my jacket gloves and boots, but sometimes its not worth it. If its only five mins a lid and gloves enough. i know the risk and i can live with it. Roll on the abuse from the atgatt party. Guy
  4. ye i got a bloke to do mine. All Year biker the companys called did an awesome job and kept it very clean over winter. I think it cost 60 quid. Guy
  5. My 1997 GSX-R SRAD 600 is playing up. Its started to run really rough and now tends to cut out at random times. I've ordered a service kit and ill see what that does, might give the carbs a clean out too. One thing i did notice is when i remove the main fuel feed and the vacuum pipe, fuel still pisses out, not a trickle either. It has a fuel pump but i thought that the vacuum pipe still turned the fuel on. Ive heard that there is a common fault with 'Carb Icing' but i thought this was only at low revs when its cold out and this does this when cruising on the m'way even. Any tips or things to try would be helpful, and does carb cleaning spray work??? Cheers Guy

  12. Just a quick one, got a set of these today and they come in two parts. The thread has a allen socket and the bobbin just has a tiny 1mm hole through the head. Am i right in thinking that you screw the thread in with the allen key and then tighten the bobbin up wi a tiny screwdriver??? if im being thick just let me know. And i have googled it and found nothing, maybe WF will do better. Guy

    BROKE!!!!

Hi well ive fitted a reconditioned swingarm to my bandit and it look awesome. Bleeding the rear brakes and sheared the bleed nipple flush with the calliper. looked on E-Blag and for a new one its over a ton and about 50 for a used one but most dont state if the pins or nipples are siezed. Anyone got any ideas as to getting the stud out, ive heard of extractors, where you drill a whole down the center and then thread it out i think. Anyone got any experiance of this Really wounded as its traken me two weeks to spray the swingarm and get the old one off and the weather is mint. Any help would be appriciated Thanks, Guy
  18. Went on Saturday, not a bad day, and the blonde riding in the massive globe thing was Awesome!!!!!!!!
  19. A bit off topic but is anyone going to the Bike safe show in sheffield next Saturday. Would be good to ride down. Guy
  20. Cheers, ill look at that on monday, should be looking awesome for the summer. Guy
  21. So I just gave my bike a really good clean and decided that the swing arm was looking a bit tatty so a used one was found with the idea of sorting it out and flogging the old one on ebay. Then i realised i have no idea about getting it ready for fitting. A mate said that shot blasting and powder coating was the future. Is this some kind of sand blasting? That being said does anyone know somewhere near newcastle that would do such a small job. cheers Guy
  22. Last week at work we had a motorcycle safty brief from one of the local Traffic police, and he was absolutly sound. Not just the normal 500 pics of dead bikers but sound advice. Hes offered to take us out for a bit of tuition just seing if work will ppay from thier road safty budget but im really thinking about it. Ive only been riding about 9 months and only had a bike for 6 so still got some things to pick up And i think it never hurts to get to know the local traffic police, might just save me a few quid a few miles down the road. Guy
