  3. Hi Guys n girls, I was thinking of getting a few people to have a rideout on any of the days over the easter weekend. Its a long way away yet, but was just going to see if anyone was interested. Thinking of possibly going over to Wales. Open for suggestions and or different routes. Lets see if we can get something sorted!
  4. How long does it take before fuel goes off? Or after how long would you consider draining the tank?
  5. Have you got yourself a Haynes manual? Tells you everything you need to know/do in there..
  6. Yea more than likely fuel gone off.. Best bet is to drain it and fill it with new juice and re-try. Other than that, giving it a service could possibly solve the problem or try a new battery.. Im sure someone on here who has run into this problem before will be able to shed more light.
  7. Parked my bike in a parking bay to nip into shop not long ago. While standing in queue I heard an alarm which I thought sounded similar to my bike.. Not thinking anything of it (because I couldn't remember what my alarm sounded like), I still stood in queue waiting to be served. It wasn't until a worried member of the public came over to me and said that some woman had reversed into my bike whilst talking on the phone, knocking it over... I was like WTF! To piss me off even more, I then found out she decided to pull forward after knocking bike over and park in the bay NEXT to my screaming bike on the floor.. She then got out, went into the shop that I was IN and bought a couple of things while i was in the shop still and swiftly left without notifying me! I now have a cracked seat fairing, engine cover damage, double bubble screen shattered, wing mirrors scratched, bar end/levers damaged. Luckily my crash bungs protected the main core of the bike... but ffs has anybody got decency these days?!?! RAAAAAANT!
  8. Doh! Dropped myself in it with that one Very true, ok il list something up later on when im finished at work ...

    Oil levels

Hey, just a quick one really.. Decided to get down n dirty and service my bike today.. (1st time ever due to me only having it a year and its my 1st bike) After finishing it all i checked the oil, it was looking full, i had put 3.6 litres in it to get it up to maximum line, or thereabouts. I ran the engine to let the oil drain into the filter and re-topped up the oil, eventually i put 4 litres in. Now the spyglass is still only showing midway between high and low level, and in my manual it says it should take 4 litres to fill a dry engine which is about right.. When i run the engine, the spyglass drains and shows no oil in it, im guessing its because its flowing the oil around all the parts, but im sure originally i could still see the oil when it was running.. Just want to check whether this is right as i dont wanna ruin it.. It registers as having nothing in the spyglass at all. When the engine is stopped and stood still, its re-fills back up midway between full and low.. Cheers Ricky
