  1. Im from Leicester Neil, so I was thinking we could make a meeting point central to us Midlands/Lincs people and you Cambs & East Anglia peeps and ride from there. The ones that didn't want to meet meet with us could just meet us there. Anyone up north who cant make it to Matlock could always just meet us at Cat & Fiddle. I haven't arranged times yet due to not knowing how many from each area are coming..
  2. Guys n girls. Trying to get a gathering to head up to Cat & Fiddle / matlock this weekend.. See http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=37384 for original post....

  7. just want to say thanks for a good day out. Was nice to put names to faces at last! Looking forward to next ride. Need to do cat & fiddle as i still haven't made it there yet! Lol. Dan i waved at u when i was filling up at the station, not sure if u saw lol.
  8. Never had to change my chain or sprockets yet due to low mileage of bike, but i would suggest fitting chain first and then lubing it, especially if you have such a device as Dan has pointed out before.. a Kettenmax or similar. Its easier to lube it once its on and turning on the sprockets. Rest of what you said sounds about right. make sure the bike has been running a little while to thin the oil out so it drains easier. Sump plug out, then pop off the filter. Put sump plug back in, smear some new oil around new filter seal and torque it up. Pop in your new oil, and bobs your uncle. Regards to your filter, i would suggest getting a K&N or somethin similar that you just wash and re-oil each year or so many thousand miles. But if its a OEM filter, no you wouldnt need to oil it as far as im aware. Good luck

    Alternative shock!

Many people fit gixxer shocks as said above, they are straight fit. Oddly enough I have also heard off friends that they have fitted the zx6r B1 shock (which is stupidly hard) onto their SV and its really nice to ride, isn't as stiff as it is on the ninja and fits straight on. I suppose its up to preference and how much money you have to spend..
