big incentive to pass my test!!
RicKsTa replied to JamieK's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
Definately not. I personally would look for a very good 2nd hand bike with low miles, still save you a packet and if its dropped, the money you saved from not buying new can be used to replace anything damaged -
Another shit day at work... F**K IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trousers for short girlies
RicKsTa replied to Katie's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Ruth, its definately worth buying some. My friend came off his bike the other year wearing Dragging jeans at 45mph. The bike fell onto his leg and trapped it pulling him down the road, which burst his knee cap open.. I gather from the weight of the bike and the friction of the road. In end he had to had 200 stitches inside and out to repair his leg. If he had armour it would have definately prevented some, if not most of the damage. Always worth wearing armour as clothing can only protect to a certain level. -

Hey all, Seen as though my fairings are damaged from some muppet not long ago, i was thinking about getting them sprayed a different colour/s. If i was to change the colour, i know i would need to contact DVLA etc to get logbook changed, but would i need to contact insurance to notify them that its been modified? Does it class as a modification? Also is there anything else i would need to do other than the above? Cheers Rick

I have a scottoiler on my bike and tbh if you fit it nicely and tie it along the inside of the swingarm you dont even know its there. I used silver cable ties to match my frame and to be honest, unless I point it out, its pretty much unnoticeable..

hello all.. Im about to service my bike this week and give it a good once over to ensure everything is ready for the good weather. I was just wondering, what oil and filter would you recommend to use? My bike is a zx6r 2004 b1H. I currently used the rock oil - guardian semi synth from Wemoto and champion oil filter. Wondered if there were any better than this or these are sufficient..? Thanks in advance for your help.. Rick

2hours and counting for my theory!
RicKsTa replied to scotty87's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
You will be fine.. Make sure you have eaten something to feed your brain. Relax and take deep breaths, if you werent ready to pass it, you wouldnt be taking it. Be confident in your own ability and you will be fine -
Will suit you fine then TC ... right up your alley
