  1. Glad I got mine out the way when restriction came off after 2 years automatically.
  2. But it's something we all do since riding a push bike from an early age like someone else has said. I've always understood it to be push left to go left and push right to go right, the sharper the corner. The more I think about it the more complicated it becomes so just best to ride and feel it work.
  3. True, shame as think found some but not cheap http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=151703655051&globalID=EBAY-GB
  4. Completely in same position. Need to ensure they are right ones and will fit the purpose I need them for. I have draggin jeans cargo style ones already but they have huge pockets on the front and are too baggy. Basically after smart looking black trousers with Kevlar lining and no cargo pockets. There seems to be a gap in the market for them.
  5. I was wondering if anyone knows of any Kevlar trousers that can double up as office work trousers so pref black. It would just mean not having to get changed on arrival and more importantly leaving work. Just an idea really but not seen anything like that about apart from the usual Kevlar jeans.
  6. I too have been doing quite a bit of research into helmet cams. The SJ4000 is impressive for the money but the one thing it lacks without doing a mod is a mic jack so you can record commentary if doing any vlogging. I don't want to spend more than 100 so to get a good action camera with a mic Jack looked quite difficult. However I have come across the garmin virb which is 1080p, very robust, has various attachments, and can buy a lead to connect a external mic too. It's usually around 100 to buy but zavi are selling them on their eBay shop for 79.99. I've going to go with one of them, will do a review once got it and used it.
  7. Luck of the draw it seems then. I'm lucky as work in the NHS so had the pick of professions. Glad you got it sorted in the end.
  8. I just wanted to say I know the Passport Office seems to get a lot of negative feedback every now and again but for us they have just been extremely efficient. We filled in the online form for our little boys first passport, paid the fee and printed it off. We sent it off with all the relevant documents and photos last Tuesday evening. The documents arrived back in the post the following Monday and then a few hours later on the same day the passport arrived by courier, that's 3 working days to process it! We paid for the standard service and what superb service it was! So credit given where its due.
  9. House technically sold in May, was supposed to exchange and complete this week and the buyer didn't turn up to their solicitor meeting!!!!! F**k it x100!!!!! New bike on order and need house to go!!!!
  10. That's exactly what I thought. Is interesting to hear experience of someone going into biking later in life, my dad is of a similar age and he had a 125 when he was 17 but nothing since. He's very anti bikes these days mainly because of other drivers not looking out for them but would be interesting to see how he would get on with one.
  11. Yeah that sounds good mate, let me know when you're heading this way next! Have you ever been to the Reepham meet? I haven't no, but would do. I'm currently bike less till 15th but then will be out and about, will send you a PM nearer the time. Cheers!
  12. Sorry my skills don't go that far but if ever fancy a ride out in the future i often head to North Norfolk from Norwich. NearOn
  13. So the original lady who saw you who said taking meds and your criminal history is a big no no when comes to shotgun licence was making it up? I hope you have many years of fun at the gun club and we don't see you on sky news....
  14. Like others have said is all to do with how they are brought up. My parents did a great job with me and my brother so I simply bring up my son in the same way and touch wood so far so good. He has the odd meltdown but majority of the time he's a happy child, especially when out and exploring the world. He's not a great sleeper though and although these days not that loud at night he previously was quite loud with crying. However that's something in life can't do much about. In regards to nursery I really believe that all children from an early age should go to some sort of nursery a few times a week as is so important because it encourages social relationships with other children, interaction with other adults and taking instructions from them and mainly learning and developing which is massively encouraged at our nursery. So when our child goes to school at 4 that sort of surrounding won't be alien to him yet to a 4 year old who has spent the last 4 years 24/7 with mum or dad it will be a massive shock to the system and many struggle with that. I have a few friends who are primary school teachers who say you can tell which children have not been to nursery/pre school in their first 4/5 years.
  15. Maybe does for you as you are already part of group but for me all I get is "This content is currently unavailable The page you requested cannot be displayed at the moment. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page. Return home"
  16. Am sure will get it next time round, happens to anyone that.
  17. The link doesn't seem to be working to the Facebook group? That can't be a good sign so soon into this scheme. Surely someone running it is getting money out of it?
  18. course i aknowledge it, Biggest mistake i ever made in my life. But nothing i can do about it.. Like i said, i cant change the choices i have already made, but i can make sure i make good choices in the future.. and nahh, 9 air rifles isnt excessive.. All setup for different things... One has a standard mil dot scope, one has a night vision scope cam mounted, a couple of .177's for target shooting, some are .22, also, some are spring powered, some are Co2 powered, and some are PCP guns.. They are all locked up in a gun cabinet anyway, So safety for my children is not an issue Fair enough. Actually I retract what I said about having guns around my child as thinking more about it I grew up around licensed guns within the family and it taught me valuable things. Is a shame the family members who did have them have passed away. As a teenager my dad let us use a air rifle as he set up a shooting range in our cellar. Maybe one day will look at reviving that hobby.
  19. Isn't now 9 air rifles a bit over the top? I certainly wouldn't want my boy growing up around all them. Don't you think your daughter would be in a safer environment without them? Is good that you put your side across as you are right papers do exaggerate things. But also like others and even yourself said, you put it in the dryer and turned it on. Least you do acknowledge that's messed up.
  20. Apologies I don't know the answer but I noticed you have a Moto cage? What do you think so far? I pick mine up mid August, can't wait!! Do you have an akrapovic fitted?
  21. Why would the Police be interested in a friend going on eBay on your computer? Assuming did something dodgy on it?
  22. I take it this is the case? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2222396/Laughing-yob-shut-terrified-cat-tumble-dryer-spin-cycles-sick-video-facing-jail.html I understand people change but with something like that it's inbuilt in the head and always will be, therefore I don't think you should ever be given a shotgun licence. Apologies for reposting of link missed the spoiler bit.
  23. it was nearly 3 years ago mate. 3 years in november.. And my sentence was only 56 days, So only did 28 days in custody... So, is that classed as spent??? And as for insurance.. My insurance never asked me... ive never actually been asked about non motoring convictions.. not once, but one company.. Pretty sure by law that all motoring insurance have to ask about non motoring convictions, certainly been on every quote I've ever had.
  24. I'm not a lawyer or a police officer but have worked in a job that involves dealing with people who have been to prison for various things. I would put money on it being classed as a criminal conviction that you will have to declare as you were convicted and sentenced to prison.
  25. I also wondered why he didn't at least try nip out the way or had the Ducati broken down by this point????
