  1. What a nice gift from them! Mines now for sale, the goal before the year is out is to replace it with an XJR1300.
  2. ****Man Moan Alert**** So who's had it? I am 31 and never before have had it, well as far as I can remember. My parents always said I had them out as a young child but turns out they got me confused with my brother! So since Tuesday I have not been able to eat anything and incredibly difficult to even manage water. Been on antibiotics since yesterday and waiting for them to kick in. The only thing keeping me going is thinking what I am going to feast on when its gone for the lack of food this week. Also when I have heard people say "its like swallowing glass" in the past I thought yeah right cant be that bad..................IT IS!!! Anyway I know far worse off people in the world but needed a moan. Done
  3. I got them on in the end and guess what, its running! Finally! Though much credit goes to good people like yourself, Adam and my father in law who came and helped me. We had to put a new fuel tap kit on and vacuum hose but runs now, albeit somewhat clunky. Think going to try sell now as want something bigger as just feels bit too cramped on it.
  4. Ill sort some out when next get a chance, cheers
  5. Just doesn't seem much give in it or movement to slide any further into the air box rubbers. I'll try a good ol thump!
  6. Hi I have been trying to get my carbs back on, and recently had help from another forum member Eastangliabiker, big thanks again to him! But basically now I have them pretty much back on but when it comes to lining them up with the airbox rubbers I cant quite see how they pop in. I cant even remember how they sat originally. They have clicked into place on the manifold side. I'm guessing on air box side needs to be tight fit too in order to stop anything escaping? Cheers all
  7. Move to a secluded property with no neighbours. Sorted.
  8. Great choice of bike! Have fun! I would still have mine now if not of done this....... http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/odloveless/crash003.jpg
  9. This should be a sticky thread. Excellent setup and information there. In our previous house I wanted to look at doing something like this and there was very little on the net, luckily we moved and are lucky enough to have a garage at the bottom of the garden with mains power. And I tell you its so much easier. Got a fridge, power tools, lights, the lot. Once my back eases up hoping to get in there to work on my GPZ which is currently kaput. Anyway top effort on your lighting!
  10. Good to hear a positive outcome and was just a virus. Before a few months ago we had two cats that we had since we first moved in together 7 years ago. The cat that came first in 2007 was a very healthy outgoing cat, always up to something or sleeping, never much inbetween. Then around 2-3 months ago my wife heard him meowing in pain outside on the pavement. He had lost the use of his back legs so we instantly thought been hit by a car. But turned out he had a blood clot and no blood was pumping to his lower half, and we had to painfully watch him get weaker and weaker as we took him to the vets. I know a lot of people don't understand the attachment to cats but honestly having to see him in so much pain and lose his life was terrible. He was my cat too and not a day goes by when I expect to see him wondering along the garden fence. RIP Ernie. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/odloveless/ernie_zps2bfea37e.jpg
  11. Big thanks to Adam from the forum who came over today to help, aren't bikers great!, we found quite a bit of brown gunky stuff when we emptied the tank, so hoping was that causing it, everything else attached to the tank was fine. Will report how it goes when put a bit of new fuel in.

    Diavel

Nothing if you close your eyes....................anyway back to the Diavel, lets just agree that its the dogs gonadz! Seeing more and more about lately, still on my wish list. One day it will be mine, oh yes it will be mine.
  13. Thanks for the replies guys, I will check those things out before getting to the carbs
  14. Hi, just after some advice on my bike. I've had it since Feb. When I bought it, it ran fine. Then I moved and haven't had time to use it. Is stored in my garage and been starting it up once a month for last 3 months. Would roughly let it run for about 5 minutes, then quick spin round the close and back in garage. I know, not ideal but when got a 6 month old baby and work full time, not had much time left over! Anyhow I decided to take it to work last week. Got about a mile from home and it just cut out. Almost like it ran out of fuel. I put it on reserve, manage to get it going again and went on my merry way. About another mile down the road it did the same. It seems to stutter and then just cut out. I pushed it to the petrol station and filled it up. It started up, decided to take it home, but again half way home it cut out again, and would not start again. I had to then push it home, fun fun fun. In my very basic knowledge of bike mechanics, I am thinking dirty fuel clogging it up? In the carbs maybe? God knows when will get time to fix it, and if I am even capable of doing it. So if there is anyone in Norfolk and wants to have a look in exchange for beer, shout now! Cheers Oli

  16. Did you see the feature on it in MCN last week mate? Very complimentary stuff! Off topic but I'm half tempted to sell my Hornet for this hog a mate has offered a very very good price. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/odloveless/photo4_zps01d89039.jpg
  17. I have only just started listening to Miles Kane and really impressed by the new album "Don't forget who you are". Been a while since an artist has done that in terms of whole album for me. Had alisten of his first one from 2011 but not as good for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... j5RKp0inTw
  18. Did you choose one in the end? I ditched the Delkevic idea in the end, and went with Pipewerx exhausts, as friends recommended them. And have mine fitted on my Hornet now, looks and sounds great, really well made too by looks of it. I got Stainless steel oval shape with removable baffle. Has an X laser cut into the end of it too, looks good I think. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/odloveless/IMG_2105_zps3fb96c90.jpg
  19. Even if get it there, wouldn't there still be insurance issues? Cant imagine is easy to get insurance on a bike above 125 without a valid licence.

    Exhaust Baffles

You can get knicked make no mistake! And not even for a loud pipe if they think the pipe is none standard with no kite marks they can knick you. My bike was stopped in traffic, the copper on the bike never even heard the motor running. Lincolnshire police on race day are the shites, easy pickings is all l can say! I doubt you would get nicked for a loud exhaust! A friend was telling me recently it all changed not long ago in regards to outlines on it and unless it states on the exhaust "Not for road use" then there's not much they can do. If someone is riding around with an exhaust that says "Not for road use on it" then cant complain if get done for it.

    Exhaust Baffles

Good luck with the MOD 2, I had same situation when picked up my first 600, a hornet, the guy just handed me the baffle before I left. Chucked it in my bag and did not think much of it. Had no trouble on way home but have to admit was very very loud with it out, and I liked it to begin with but soon became bit too annoying on longer trips and reinstalled it. Fuzz side of things, I thought something had changed recently in regards to loudness of exhausts and what they can do, not sure though, there's a guy down my road who starts riding a chopper from around this time of year till sept and his is ridiculously loud, I think you would be very unlucky to be pulled for it, is very rare in this area of the country that's for sure.
  22. I have had one of these helmets too and like others have said looks nice but wind was ridiculous, I now have a Caberg ego and that has a big vent like a sun roof on the top, and even with that is far less noisy than the AGV S4. Fixing that seal with obviously help but still think be pretty bad, just must be the design of them.
  23. Those are the ones i've been through a few of. They don't last very long, but usually conk out whilst its still new enough to contact the seller and get it replaced Long as I can get it off the bike I dont mind Seems pretty well made, but yeh you get what you pay for so if does break wont be too fussed.
  24. I just bought one from fleabay for a tenner, ones below slightly more, thought be too good to be true. But does what it says on the tin. My oxford disc lock doesn't have an alarm in it so just wanted one that will go off if tampered with and this does that. It goes off if someone try's to mess with it and it is sensitive to vibration. It is a no make disc lock so insurance wont recognise it but should help a bit to be a deterrent. As others have said though if they want to nick it, they will. This is it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEAVY-WEIGHT-MOTORCYCLE-BIKE-DISC-LOCK-ALARMED-/150814611108?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item231d4056a4
