  1. I did MOD2 a week after MOD1 only because in case of unfortunate failing MOD1 I didn't want to loose MOD2 fee that already have been booked. So if I would fail MOD1 I wanted to have time to re-book MOD2 :)

And waiting time is up to school. I guess it depends if they have many learners and if test dates are available :)

So, if I were you I would wait with booking DAS 'till after the CBT. You'll see how are you doing then have word with your instructor and he should advise you about the amount of training you may need :thumb:

  2. I have never used my back brake for anything lol so I didnt have this problem during meh tests, Didnt even use the back brake for the mod1 :)

so tip : just dont use it haha

I failed my MOD1 for not using foot brake. And foot brake is much safer to use when is really slippery. You'd have more time to react when loosing back end than front. Also on good road at normal speed when doing emergency stop it is an extra help with stopping :thumb:

  3. The seems to be a larger variety on eBay - thanks! Who is the site sponsor? Also, is it a good idea to buy without having looked at it?

Only if you're happy to buy a lemon / money pit.

I got my zx6r off ebay without first seeing it as it was too far and it is a great bike in better condition than I expected. If you looking for something cheap or some real bargain it may be risky but if you buying something you know is worth its price then you should be fine. If you have good pictures, proper description and you spend some time on the phone with seller you'll minimize the risk. And even if you check the bike up close you have never any guarantee it will not be a money pit

EDIT I have also bought my 125 off ebay without seeing it and 2 cars before. 1 car was non-runner but it was stated in description there were engine issues

  4. I am using one on my chinese 125 as original speedo is dead. If you set correct tyre circumference it is working fine, sometimes even too accurate as it is supposed to overread a bit

  5. If you look hard enough you may be able to find a R125 within your budget. You could also try Derbi GPR125, Hyosung GT125R, CBR125. To be honest all 4-stroke 125 bikes will be under 15bhp (unless heavily modified) and also restricted 2-strokes like Aprilia RS125, Honda NSR125. 8-)

btw please say hello in our newbie section and put your location in your profile :thumb:
