  1. Yes the stuff I cleaned paint off some alloy wheels didn't touch the rust on some patio furniture that had sat outside a pub for years. But can you imagine the damage if those had been the other way round lol. 'Stu is spot on do your research before opening your wallet or blasting holes in important parts. Cheers Ian
  2. What material are you cleaning i.e steel, ali etc. Most media suppliers will list suitability for you. Cheers Ian
  3. DIY powder coating during enforced lockdown !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I forsee a lot of money earned by divorce lawyers and appliance suppliers at the end of this lol. I speak as a man who has been caught using the dishwasher (Not the parlour maid lol) on more than one occasion. Cheers Ian
  4. Sorry just saw the link lol!
  5. That looks a neat little unit ! Certainly better than mine. Where did you get it from? You are correct it can be very therapeutic and cause you to look around just for things to do lol. Cheers Ian
  6. Assume you have big enough compressor, this cabinet requires 100 psi @14cfm That seems quite a modest demand I would be more concerned it was big enough to get the bits I want to clean inside. But seems good value actually and I would worry how much I would spend trying to make what ends up as an inferior effort ! Even better if it`s 8cfm. Cheers Ian
  7. Just check the CFM usage, some of them need a big compressor and a high cfm to work, a gravity fed like the diy one will work on a lower cfm #Dynax has a very good point which I would have overlooked as I have a 50ltr compressor. Cheers Ian
  8. The blast gun with the reservoir designed for the job is available and aren't that pricy so I wouldn't bother trying to make one. Cheers Ian
  9. Maybe start by turning it on its back and copying details from a real cab? Cheers Ian
  10. That looks like a very good starting point ! Cheers Ian
  11. Build a box to do it in sand/grit gets everywhere #Bender is so right the cabinet is more important than the gun. There was a thread either on here or the ZRX forum of someone building a really good cabinet using an oil drum. Cheers Ian
  12. https://www.visordown.com/news/general/norton-sold-961-engine-rights-just-going-under It seems he (Garner) is even more crooked if that's possible ! Cheers Ian
  13. Oh and an idea of price and the paperwork to prove ownership. I am interested in the GS and I know a boat owner with some rope who may be interested in the Honda. Cheers Ian
  14. According to Planet Rock I think their most requested song last year and so far this! Cant usually stand remakes but I love this. Cheers Ian
  15. That is beautiful and a good way to celebrate your continued health wins(I speak from experience) If you feel the need to lay it up again might I suggest race fuel or Aspen petrol. It should save you hassle. Cheers Ian

  18. Thanks. I have a feeling we will have a lot of choices in common lol. How are you with early Steve Earle and Melissa Etheridge? Cheers Ian No......not really. Apart from the Classic rock stuff I'm more into Blues, Blues Rock. Big fan of the REAL Skynyrd though......Steve Gaines era! He would have gone on to be as big as Clapton, SRV etc. Oh how very true. One from the road is always in whatever car I am driving and the workshop ! I am lucky enough to have also seen Led Zep at Knebworth which for me is also up there (Kashmir in particular). Cheers Ian
  19. Thanks. I have a feeling we will have a lot of choices in common lol. How are you with early Steve Earle and Melissa Etheridge? Cheers Ian

  22. As I have posted elsewhere I have just fitted 2 huggers. 1 on a busa and one on a ZRX both by Powerbronze and the ZRX has done approx. 180 miles at very varied speeds and so far the fit and stability seem fine even though it is early days. The only thing I did change was their M6 bolts to allen head stainless as I thought the extra torque at tightening was a worthwhile upgrade. Cheers Ian
  23. This is good advice ! AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW THE ADVICE AND CHECK REGULARLY !!! If you are relaxed about it at the very least you will be buying new discs, at worst I hope you had a good turnout. Cheers Ian
  24. Much better explained than my ham. fisted effort lol. Cheers Ian
