  1. I couldn't help myself so I googled it with safe search off in images and I can report that nothing embarrassing turned up whatsoever . Which was disappointing . you wont find the product disappointing though and that's for sure. I was very sceptical but thought ah what the hell, buy one. cant tell ya how good it is.
  2. well I've just found the perfect solution to the helmet fogging problem. forget the pinlock at about £25/£30 a throw or a cheaper version on ebay. I've just fitted a weepro visor insert after seeing some test results on you tube. absolutely no fogging whatsoever. £19.95 including postage. check it out on you tube. if there's ever a product that does what it says on the tin it's this one.
  3. Hazards? Nope. The indicators are left on left handlebar and right on right handlebar with the cancel for both on the right handlebar. I found that the gap between both switches was too small if you're wearing gloves so instead of cancelling I could inadvertently engage the right indicator and it was also interfering with the throttle because I was having to move my hand to cancel the indicator. So because I couldn't alter the gap between the two I came up with the idea of heightening the cancel switch to see if that worked and it does. Just a temporary measure until I make the refined version. BMW reverted back to the usual way of doing things on the GT which just goes to prove it was a damn silly idea in the first place.
  4. Fogging up in the cold weather and also low sun where you can’t see a bloody thing in front of you.
  5. Well, what I did to my bike today was a very very small modification which will make my riding experience much more enjoyable. ' alt=''> For those that ride a BMW F800ST and have large hands they’ll know the problem. For those that don’t, have a guess. It’s the red thing in the pic and is a temporary measure till I make a permanent one.
  6. It seems to me there's no real buyer/seller price guide in so much as a 2012 bike can go for the same price as say a 2008 bike. When I was looking for the BMW F800st there we're bikes of very differing years for basically the same price and it was just random with no real pattern.
  7. Now he tells me and I’ve just gone and spent £4:00 sacre bleue. Ah well I’ll give it a try and see what it does.
  8. Just amazing isn’t it. There’s tossers round every corner intent on causing mayhem.
  9. Neither would I normally but as I only bought the bike about three weeks ago, and whilst the engines not absolutely filthy it’s not as clean as I’d like it to be. So it’s gloves on and get the oily bits clean and as I said the muc-off just didn’t cut it. Actually I’m surprised it’s as dirty as it is seeing as how it’s been BMW serviced from new and was only serviced in September. Just shows they don’t bother cleaning anything.
  10. From day one of my learner driver days 52 years ago I was told signal signal signal, nobody can read minds and you know what, even if I’m on a country lane nothing behind, nothing in front, nothing anywhere, If I make a turn I signal. No ones there to see it but it just becomes habit.
  11. I’m looking to clean the side/underside of my engine or as much as I can without removing the fairings. I tried muc-off motorcycle degreaser at £10 a can and to be perfectly honest it’s cr@p. I know gunk was the thing years ago and I’ve just seen they now do a spray version of which Wilko do a 500ml can for £4:00. Basically I’m asking if anyone’s used it and if so, is it any good!!!!
  12. You can get spectacle spray cleaner from specsavers which is specifically made for tv/monitor screens and specs. They’re cheap and work well at allowing the rain to roll off.
  13. Funnily enough my glasses never mist up in the helmet, just the visor. It’s ok at 50/60mph but around town it’s a nuisance but I suppose when the weather gets warmer the problem might go away.
  14. No it’s not got anything that covers the nose. I have however seen things like you describe.
  15. That might confuse anyone on your right hand side following you around the roundabout. If you want second exit ( straight on ) indicate right so nobs at first exist know your going past them then indicate left after you’ve passed first exit and are approaching second exit . Ah but that’s not the way to do it and there’s probably some knob in a car going to be saying to his missus ‘look at that pillock on the bike, he doesn’t know the signalling procedure’. Mind you as I ride a BMW they’re probably not expecting any indication anyway.
  16. I like the bit where it says ‘they might not be signaling correctly, or not at all.
  17. Ah yes you are right, roundabouts. It’s a bit like cobs, batches, barmcakes, etc. Outside certain areas people wouldn’t know what you meant. .
  18. I genuinely think some people are really clueless with roundabouts, how tf they ever passed a driving test I don't know. I tread very carefully on roundabouts with the bike and always looking out for the unexpected, IE idiots who may want to kill you and there's plenty of them about. Also keep as low gear as possible for rapid speed up if necessary. Sounds like you like me are very wary at roundabouts and like me keep in a low gear for a tactical escape if necessary.
  19. I’m getting well pee’d off with people assuming I’m taking the first left at an island just because I’m keeping to a left lane Even though I’m not giving a signal to go left but going on to the second exit. It seems people have lost the ability to stick to a lane whilst negotiating an island and others assume they’re going left but aren’t signalling. This happens on both the bike and in the car. It’s almost a case of ‘well I’m in the correct lane but maybe I shouldn’t obey the rules and move into another lane’.
  20. Yes I’d have to agree with that. Let’s face it, you wouldn’t do it in a car.
  21. Just like you I assume every roundabout has a diesel spill. Yep the school runs bit I agree with too.
  22. No it’s quite true. I know it works on mirrors. I’ve just thought of another way as well. You know when you’ve just had a shower and the shaving mirrors all steamed up, well rubbing soap on it then wiping it off stops anymore misting. I wonder if that would work on a visor!!!!
  23. They look good. Where did you get them from?
