  1. Welcome to TMBF mate........ 8-)

When you say you checked the fuel pump, how? I'm not sure, but I seem to recall that I've seen on here that the fuel pump on the older CBR and CBF 125's were subject to a replacement recall....... :?

is fuel pump exclusive to injected bikes? I remember having a mechanical fuel pump on 1 litre 1986 fiesta.

  2. if you've got a Honda dealer near you take it in get them to have a quick listen and explain the problems. Tell them you're having trouble with a 3rd party dealer who isn't playing ball. Ask if they would mind writing a letter explaining the problem and what needs to be done to fix it. forward it to the people you bought it from telling them you want it fixed. If no action get it fixed by Honda then bill the other garage, you might have to go through small claims to get the money back but at least the bike will be working

  3. when my pump was replaced it would stall in hot weather after running for a while. then one day normal weather conditions just wouldn't start, ticked over could give it full throttle then it would bump into life. eventually it stopped working, AA came out took side panel off and tapped the pump with a screw driver which got it running.

  4. well he has no experience with the CBF 125 as you can't adjust the throttle unless you bodge it by tightening the cable. it should run at 1,800rpm -/±100.

    it is computer controlled.

if it's over revving when you get it back demand a refund. might have to take legal route. but go to citizens advice and ask them for help first.

I emailed Honda, there is no filter in the pump. the tanks were treated with preservative that clogged up the pump. ask if it's been registered with Honda as having been replaced. tell them Honda told you there is no filter in there and they are trying to bullshit you.

  5. you turned the stator fly wheel. depending on what was attached you may have got the TDC top dead centre back to front.

would check the valve clearance first though.

  6. just noticed you posted a slightly different story here in other thread

the fuel pump should have been replaced under its original warranty as many were but a recall was never announced. whether yours lasted longer or simply needed replacing again is scary. they aren't cheap to replace.

  7. yeah factory writing is blue. sorry didn't drill these ones just about managed to get them off by hammering screw driver in then turning. but I need to get two new as they are screwed ;) 2nd time I've cleaned filter and they are always so tight guess it's when engine gets hot they just bind.

I'm guessing previous owner drilled right through and replaced it :P it's the oil pump you're looking for on eBay good luck :)

you got a clutch removal tool?

  8. Those 3 screws are a bitch to get out, I don't know why. Even when I've not done them up too tight. There is writing on mine too and marks on the screws it's just from the factory to make sure they've not budged. Have you got the tool to get the clutch out? Where did you get it from? Had an old CG125 with 46k on.

I've just gone around replacing all the sensors/ecus on mine, revving at 4-5k at cold idle. Seem to have sorted it now.

  9. Should start first time everytime, if it doesn't there is something wrong. Take it back the dealer and get it sorted (if it's still under their warranty).

I replaced the coil pack for a 2nd hand one off a newer bike sorted my problem, but was a problem stalling not starting when wet.

These injected bikes a damn night mare!
