  1. Congrats but perhaps they smelt the booze? What time did you stop drinking and then drive? To the test. 6 pints is what 13.8 units 1hr for body to process each unit after last drink
  2. Consider moving up north if you can't afford a garage where you are now Car won't fit in mine but two bikes comfortably
  3. Jezz 125 this morning then
  4. Can it break? Been trying to wind it back but doesn't seem to be doing anything. Burnt my hand trying.
  5. So it was running rich, turn knob all the way in clock wise (I think). Then something felt like it had gone further than it was meant to as it didn't seem to be doing anything. Turned off engine and wound back 3 turns now engine is revving nuts off at 5k. What have I done
  6. You need a bigger bike, 13 stone here.
  7. The tachometer is not accurate enough to set the RPM for idle. Dealer has to do this. Can't remember why but Honda did it free for me. You'll get an ear for it eventually but must always be done after a short run to bring engine up to temperature.
  8. How heavy are you? That's pretty slow for a v twin. On my 125s they've been faster than most cars (not racing) up to 45mph and all have got up past 60 to 70 eventually
  9. Italy - San Marino province for the roads and Rimini for the beach. Bologna for the buildings and Florence for the statues of David. Austria - Vienna for the opera and Saltzburg for the castle Switzerland was nice for the roads but pretty boring to visit
  10. Poole Quay is bigger and better?
  11. If it's not the cable suggest replacing the hand brake shoes they are like £300.
  12. Had a free MOT on car after wife heard a loud bang by one of the wheels. I did check didn't see anything. Took it to a mate for a paid MOT and service and he found a spring had snapped in half. Reported the garage to VOSA but couldn't do anything as I had got it fixed. But they made a note on their system.
  13. The cable needs replacing, cables stretch?
  14. Hi tom, if you don't get any replies try your local IAM group join up they ride most weekends some brisk some steady
  15. Carbs are easier than engine apart you'd need bigger jets probably.
  16. You can't ride your bike to your CBT I think you said in other thread you wanted to ride it ASAP after CBT so just ignore me if so.
  17. I had same dilemma, after a lot of reading to do with additives breaking down over time, I spent the £30 and changed the oil and filter. Bled the fuel too, local council dump took it off me and put it in their chemical dump for free.
  18. They don't meet EU standards so are illegally imported?
  19. Is a one year old bike allowed to be carbed? Grey import?
  20. Fluid shouldn't be black on a one year old bike? Only touch carb idle on a completely warmed up engine! - hope you turned back to what it was You need to get a bleeding kit with a non return valve to bleed brakes properly else you're just going to make them worse. All air must be out.
  21. o ring isn't even listed on the parts list https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/suzuki-parts/motorcycles/vl125-intruder-2000/fuel-cock-448958.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
  22. I suppose it's hard for youngsters to know what a choke is brought up in full injected cars. I still remember my aunt showing me the choke on her metro. Even I forgot to use the choke on my new old bike after riding around my injected CBF for 11k miles.
  23. i think with all the mobile pay at stations now they'll be taking away free motorbike parking, but then they would be forcing us to pay the extra 10-20p to pay by mobile would we revolt?
  24. Whoop whoop passed and with only one wing mirror too. I know you don't need any. Apparently he's got a Harley and is completely deaf. Was going to keep the 125 but now I just can't stomach it. So CBF125 for sale £1,000
  25. Any grown man looks like they are riding a child's bike on a 125. Look at getting a second hand bike as you'll drop it in the first year. Honda Varadero is a large 125.
