If I ever have dried on bugs I just place a soaked cloth for 5 mins whilst I clean other parts.

I did hear an old skool thing of adding sugar into the glue which is meant to help, but most likely talking crap again.

With the bike (an me) off the road at the moment and the weather as rubbish as it is, I took the oppertunity to give the jacket and trousers a wash and re-proof..... Took longer to wash it than it did to dry for some reason

On a provisional then you'll have lost that provisional. You'll not be allowed to ride until you've passed another CBT.

I'm 1 week down out of the minimium of 4 weeks I'm not allowed out on the bike, cant even really work on it either.

I got told not to ride the bike for just over a month. Hernia ops suck the fun out of life but have to be done I suppose. Just now bored until I'm allowed to do stuff again.

Only the DVLA if it's a permanent change of colour, if it's just a wrap then no.

I've got the Ultimate Ears molded and have no real issues with allday wearing, I was working on a site that had the foam ones and grabbed a couple. All done in the name of testing I hope you understand.
I didn't find they worked as well in my ears as the molded, but we're all different so it's whatever works best for you.

Not today, but yesterday. Went out for a little bimble with the local dealer and a few customers. Started in SE London around 5:30 heading down to Seaford (Eastbourne), which started as dry, 40 mins in it was spitting, hour later RAIN!!!
Still it didnt stop us, and got back home at 10:30ish. Put the bike away, All the gear on the drying rack and the lining removed from the helmet.
The Halvarssons Walkyr jacket kept the top half bone dry other than a slight wet neckline. The Alpinestars Andres Drystar over trousers also worked really well until about the last hour, but mostly just wet around the bootline and a slightly damp crotch area. Gloves were from Roadskin Easyrider, well we all know gloves never hold up that well.
Checked this morning and the jacket was bone dry, the trousers still a little damp, the boots (SMX6 Goretex) still heavily wet and now have newspaper placed inside to help but expect them to take a few days to dry out.
Still you cant beat a agood evenings ride out in testing conditions to help hone riding skills.

that we've lost our ability to laugh at ourselves and the woke environment that has taken over the world, there's plenty more but this stuff will kill the world

Staying away from all those nasty rain showers and putting anti-condensation paint on the walls instead
-
I'd point them to reservoir dogs in that case

Workshop/shed hunting, finding one I like is proving difficult

When I started driving all those years ago, petrol was around 38p a litre. If only my wages had increased as much at that stuff has.

Jacket Question for the wise of the groupI have an Alpinestars Ketchum Goretex jacket, which I washed at the end of last year due to bugs and dirt. I kept the temps low (30c) and used liquid cleaner instead of the usual washing powder and no conditioner/softerner. When I wore it out in the rain the goretext had gone, I got soaked. Not a happy bunny.Do I need to use Nikwax on goretex or has something gone wrong with the jacket? Thanks in advance

After two longs weeks working, I've got to put and handle and additional lock on a gate then clean the bike after going for a long ride.

Working all weekend, urgent customer demand. Still at least I'll be using the bike to get to/from them.

I had a DataTool on my first bike and had no issues with it or the battery on the bike. A couple of times the bike even sat for a few weeks without touching it and no issues with starting.
I think a lot depends on the product regarding how much it eats the battery.
