Hi every one. Quick back story is I did my CBT in Sept and rather hastily jumped in and bought a yamaha ybr nearly the next day!been riding since and today decided to take it to a yamaha dealer that's near me for a proper check to be sure I'm not riding a death trap. Anyway have been told it's unsafe to ride and have booked it in for a recommended new cam chain which they hope may solve the rattle that I didn't notice! So what id like to know from people with more experience than me is where should I buy a replacement if I need to..is it a dealer or AutoTrader as sadly atm I can't afford a brand new one and may have been stung on FB! I've seen them all so far but last 2 week's have been more like a travel show and less of a biking adventure show...I'm half expecting Simon reeve to pop up presenting

So you did the CBT but did not get the certificate? I also am new to it passed at 39 but had a 1 off 2 hour one to one that cost me £70 before I did my CBT 2nd time around...and then it's a case of learning on the job imo

Im enjoying it but would prefer the episodes to be a bit longer as they seem to skip lots of what would be interesting stuff

Much better after crashing my L plate 125 after only owning it 2 weeks and breaking a bone in my arm have tentatively riden it last 3 days just a few runs round the block and happy to see make it home in one piece!

Def find another school my 1st CBT was awful but the 2nd one was fantastic such a difference good instructors make when it comes to your confidence

Congrats well done practice makes perfect cbt is only the beginning so much learning to do after....

Is the stand fully up as this is exactly what happened to me last week....I kicked it down and back up and like magic it started

After all that hospital called back and have an occult fracture which is a hidden fracture takes 4 to 6 weeks to heal

There's one thing I'll remember for a long time from my DAS. Turning right on a junction, very slowly, something felt strange and suddenly I'm looking at a kerb on the left thinking "there's no chance I'm not hitting that kerb, sh@t" and my mind sort of froze. Thankfully I had a great instructor and he snapped me back into living by shouting into the intercom "look up, look up!!!" and it worked. I was less than half a second from meeting a foot high kerb. Can't that explain going wide? Was it a case of looking up at where you want to go that corrected it?

I went to hospital today as my elbow has been killing me ..had an x-ray but only tissue damage...think I'll be out of action for.a few weeks as atm can't use my right arm at all. Walked past the scene of my crash and saw a man hole cover right where I went over and wondered if this also contribute to me going over
