    Bike MOT

Got mine booked in tomorrow £29, any problems fix & return same day no costs. Changed my slightly illegal reg plate, put on rear reflector & fingers crossed
  2. I've had the HTC Desire S for over a year and it's pretty impressive. I've never had an iphone however I've played around with one and they are pretty similar. Where the comparison usually ends up is the apps and the availability from Apple to Android. Apple have always been the leader; until recently. Android apps are fastly coming up the ranks and compared to apple's - you can get them for free - if you know where to look Biggest problem with any "app hungry phone" is battery life & network coverage. I'm with 02 and I cannot get 3g so i have to use wireless, not a major problem in itself - except it drains your battery. Of course you don't need to use your phone for the internet - but hey that's what it's there for "3 network" have a really good 3g coverage, Vodaphone/02/other are about the same. Power wise, you can disable 90% of your apps and keep the battery longer - but as long as you're near a PC or power outlet, it's no major issue. Look's, feel, add on's & apps make the phone, that's why i went with HTC over Apple. Good luck Lee
  3. Will be parking up at the top end of the bottom barn car park, near to the barn entrance & where the sitting out tables are. If others that are meeting can do the same, that would be great I'll probably ride over with you mate, (see other thread) as I've only been Rivi Barn twice, and that was the cafe at the top of the hill..
  4. Absolutely Gareth, will look forward to it. Think on Sunday 1st April, I could arrange it you rode over with my friend? I'll probably come over to yours Graham since your en-route?
  5. Which part of Rivington (bottom barn) are we meeting
  6. I'm inviting a few Aprilia mates from a.n.other forum too..
  7. Old man's 67th birthday on the 1st, but all being good I'm up for it, I can see him later...
  8. Are new members not allowed to ask informative questions? How are they to interact exactly, by sitting looking at the screen awaiting someone to ask them a direct question? Maybe new members should not interact & just post a hi & location info then filter back into non existence, just to make the membership total look impressive???
  9. Shady & pretty disgusting but you could be covered. I presume you never took a bond and just took 1 months rent back, thus you can't keep that from them either to cover costs. What t&c's did you put in the TA? Presume you covered yourself with that, such as a guarantor? Hopefully they signed and read the following 4.6 End of tenancy 4.6.1 Return possession of the Property at the end of the tenancy in the same good clean state and condition as it was in at the beginning of the tenancy and make good, pay for the repair of, or replace all such items of the fixtures, fittings, furniture and effects as shall be broken, lost, damaged or destroyed during the tenancy (reasonable wear and tear and damage for which the Landlord has agreed to insure excepted). 4.6.2 Return all keys to the Property to the Landlord’s Agent by 12 noon on the last day of the tenancy (or sooner by mutual arrangement). 4.6.3 Pay for the washing (including ironing or pressing) of all the linen and the cleaning (including ironing and pressing where appropriate) of all blankets, bedding, carpets and curtains which have been soiled during the tenancy (reasonable use thereof nevertheless excepted) or arrange the washing and cleaning themselves all at their own expense. 4.6.4 Leave the oven in the same state of cleanliness as it is listed in the inventory. 4.6.5 Leave the fixtures fittings, furniture and effects at the end of the tenancy in the rooms and places in which they were at the beginning of the tenancy. 4.6.6 Remove all rubbish from the Property, except one dustbin or black refuse sack’s worth which may be left in the appropriate place for collection, before returning the Property to the Landlord. 4.6.7 Pay the reasonable costs, reasonably incurred and which cannot be mitigated, if the Tenant fails to keep the appointment to check the inventory at the end of the tenancy and another has to be scheduled.
  10. As I said in the op the driver was out of order, I'm also saying the moped rider wasn't an angel in all this. Tomorrow another story to waste 20 mins on.
  11. 14 secs in, he's in the offside lane moves/edges/cuts into the nearside lane crossing the white lines, going around the roundabout he moves from the nearside back into the offside lane turning right close to the grids. He indicates left does a safety check moves towards the nearside lane and carries on turning heading right into the offside lane.. Now the sliproad looks like a dual lane because of the tarmac split in the centre, no markings but it does look like two lanes. If I'm stuck behind a moped with crap lane discipline like he has I'd tell him to go study.

    Bike MOT

Never had to put my bike in an MOT before as its never been old enough lol Can I put it through its MOT myself or do I need a garage to do it? It's going yo pass so I don't see why I need to pay labour to my local dealer to do it . Cheers. Lee
  13. Although the jag driver was out of order the moped riders lane discipline was poor. He was in the wrong lane to start with, crossed the centre line when setting off from the junc, crossed over & got into the wrong lane on the sliproad.
  14. I blame the 60's teenage generation.
  15. I hate donny, red gate is fooking shit.... craner is scary as tho If your planning anything around June I'll join in.
  16. Not intentionally : Guys I ride with from my home town ride a Gixer 1000 & the bike Boardman n McGregor rode & they religious stick to the speed limits, which means on a decent days run I have to stop frequently & wait They do commute daily but for me its my cobweb head cleaner. Lol. Gixer 1000 & stick to speed limits. If I where them i'd sell & buy a 125 that will just do 70mph & be quids in, in every way. No we're nothing like that, we use the bike for what it is yet ride with total respect to everything & anyone around us. Sounds like you'll be fine on our rides Graham Gets worse, if I'm confirmed for the ride, I'll prep the night before. Leathers visor cleaned etc Bike checked over, tyre pressures checked & all that's left is fuel when we meet. Not Jack n Jill. Arrange to meet at 8am setoff for 8.30, these do there preflight checks then, which means we actually leave about 9. Probably my brain & historically do not believe in making people wait, I find it extremely rude. We hardly ride now due to the above, so gladly looking forward.
  17. Self. Just prepping the bike getting rid of the winter rides. Oil change, filter chain degrease bike degrease, polish wax n lube. It had better be a bloody good summer to make up from last year. Look forward to the first ride, maybe this Sunday?
