  1. I did my test with Camrider Grantham, they are a nice bunch, good fun laid back and very helpful. I really enjoyed all the training.
  2. Good effort... Im planning a ride out before I go back to work on the 5th.
  3. Oxford do 3 types of heated grips one is suitable for a scooter. Have a look at these. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OXFORD-MOTORCYCLE ... 4cf3363246 OBTW, I think the Oxford grips are the best. Easy to use and as warm as toast.
  4. TPFT as the bike is worth only £1000. Insurance is £70 per year. If the bike was worth more then I would go fully comp.

    rear break

Sounds like you need a new piston and seal kit to me. I would start by taking out out the pads and sanding them down, to take the shine off them, if that does not help its most likely the rear caliper needs a rebuild.
  6. My old Landi would not start below -5 unless you warmed the engine up with a heater first. For a Focus 1.8TDI I would say first point of call is Batt, then glow plugs then scrap yard if neither of them are the problem.
  7. Try cleaning the cable, Mine would not return once I pulled the lever, it could be when it gets warm the crap inside the cable sleve drys out , I cleaned mine with WD40 and its a lot better, however I have a few broken wires so it will be replaced once it goes through its MOT.
  8. I have a full set in my loft I never use. I do use the tank bag most days. Got to say they are good quality.
  9. I have done Bike ssfe, brilliant day. So I guess its a choice between IAM and RoSPA
  10. Like the title says, who are the best organisations to go with? I'm seriously thinking of taking some advanced rider training but it seems there are a few organisations who offer it. Opps sorry wrong locatuion for this... cam a mod please move it? I shall wear my "Cone of shame" for and extra day!
  11. I had a Mini like that but It was easily solved with a wooden clothes peg... I guess this will not work with a bike. As for the fuel tap, I would bodge it myself.
  12. I did my restricted test, glad I did in many ways. It was a gradual introduction to motorbikes and saved me money.
  13. Just got hit with a £520 bill for filling up my oil tank... F**K it... and Christmas is only 2 weeks away Double F**K it!

    Water in tank

How about remove the tank, drain the fuel and reserve, refit and refuel.
