Come on now, read things properly! @ Ducatis, Don't forget the higher ownership costs of a Ducati are offset buy a higher resale value. Unless you're the sort of knobber who doesn't keep up the service history of course......which is essential. The scare stories of unreliability are unfounded with modern dukes, look in any quality motorcycle publication for reliability details. Ducati: usually looked down upon by people who own rather dull inline-4 Jap' sports bikes, who will generally never get to own high spec', Italian exotica. Also know as jealousy I rode a 996 once and thought Ducatis were shite as it fealt dated and really didnt do anything for me.... I was fortunate then to have a blast on a 999R......... Which in all fairness changed my mind.

Well..........the amount of crap i had from the othe 'biker' site pulling out, and then the shop themselves (not thier fault). The day was a great success......about 60 bikes turned up and i had to lead them all out onto the M4, The sight in my mirrors was something i wont forget.......ever. We had a good ride through some of the best roads in Wales, yes we all got split up a bit, but that was down to different paces, and its expected...... After the ride i two bands booked in a pub. Bikes were put to bed and the evening comenced........and what an evening. Meeting people who you have only spoken to online, but having an awesome time together. The second band were something else, the place was rocking !!! (go look Orangefall)...... Great to meet new people, who are now friends, and will do again. Plus £500 raised............. Next year WILL be bigger.....................There were alot of English down for this, perhaps next year we can get a few more, you will get a good welcome............ Im well chuffed the way it went..............

This event is still officially on but being run unofficially.............. Meeting at 10 am Thunder Road Bridgend. The BBQ is on at the Haywain pub in Bridgend after the ride and there are two bands booked for the early and late evening. By all accounts there is going to be a good crowd turning up. Come and make a day of it ....

Anyhoo, the owners of the Haywain pub contacted me today as they were told it had all been cancelled. I have reasured them that people are turning up and they are still happy to provide a BBQ and leave us have the pub for the evening for the entertainment....One band is 100% confirmed, and I need to get hold of the freebie band for the early evening.....Onwards and upwards peeps......

LOL@Jules..................... Ok, for anyone that is interested. The 'official' rideout connected with THE other website is cancelled. Now i know alot of people have taken holidays, booked hotes and are coming from far and wide. The feedback im getting is that they are undeterred and will still be turning up. I am regarding myself as a web user now, not an event organiser. I will keep the bands in place at the Haywain pub, and also I hope they will still do the BBQ, a good evening night can still be had by all. If people want to turn up for an unoffical rideout between 9 at 11 on sunday the 20th at Thunder Road in Bridgend then they have given us permission to still use their car park............................. Im still sure there will be a good turn out. There will be no signing on, no disclaimers as nobody is 'organising' this, its a shame its like this but some 'biker' just doesnt havnt got a clue.....ahem If people then want to donate to the Air Ambulance after I will be hapy to recieve those donations for a great cause.

Thanks for trying Vicki, but obviously its a weekly bath day or summat. Just to update anyway. We have booked a band for the early evening. http://www.orangefall.com Weather permitting they are going to do a 2 hour outdoor set. I am waiting for my local radio station to get back to me as they said they may provide a DJ for the later evening, or we'll just book one. Thunder Road motorcycles have donated some great raffle prizes. The cops are coming to promote the 'bike safe' scheme, and have promised not to book anyone for loud cans and small plate (relief). Plus we have enlisted a publicity company to organise air time on the radio stations, articles in news papers and and maybe a slot on TV...........a little cameo role in the Queen Vic or the Rovers would be nice.......(NOT)! So its getting bigger and bigger by the minute. We have a load of peeps off our 'Welsh' website going out on weekends handing out flyers and the interest seems to be picking up. Maybe we'll see some of you there ????????

Im planning on having a run up to Matlock Bath on the 20th June (Friday)with a couple of ladies and gents off another forum, a few of us have Birthdays that week. Anyone interested on here for a meet up. Is there anyone local who could show us the local delights in the evening as we'll probably get a B&B, and do the Cat and Fiddle the following day. So if your up for a couple of drinks on the Friday, or a meet up in the Cat and Fiddle on the saturday, let me know. Hope to see some of you soon.

Iam organising a rideout with the help of Thunder Road motorcyles and http://www.welshbikers.org ,for the Wales Air Ambulance. It will leave the bike shop on 20th July and cover approximatly 150 miles, the cost is £5 as a minimum donation per bike. When we get back I have secured a large pub close by and they are providing a BBQ. Iam also trying to get a comedian and a band or two for entertainment. If there is anyone on here who knows of a band that may cover the event then please let me know. Obviously costs need to be kept down, but I'm sure we would be able to cover petrol and maybe chuck in a crate of beer or two. Any help would be most appreciated.

I am booked on the mini bus to be going on Sunday, but the girlfriend has been having heart palputations. She is waiting to go for keyhole surgery and has not had them for six months. If they continue up to the weekend im gonna have to pull out. I'm sure you will appreciate i'd rather be down here if something happens than stuck in Birmingham. I really hope to meet up with you, but as I say circumstances will decide...........plus im skint, don't want to see anything, dont want to buy anything, too close to friggin xmas, got no clean pants and I need a hair cut.
