  1. picked her up from school a few times when she was at juniors, on the thundercat....she thought it was ace, and was the envy of all the lads.

took her to a parents evening on the bike in year 7 , which she loved...but when I suggested doing the same last week for year 10 parents evening it would appear it is no longer cool :(

( though I suspect that's more to do with helmet hair and running mascara lol )

  2. ok, I need to change the slightly bent bars on kittys er5...have a new set of renthals here , and pretty sure I can manage it.. anyone got a brief running order...what do I take off first , in what order , what to watch out for etc etc

Used these on bike to bike (they can connect to any other BT device too such as scarla) and rider to pillion.

Very good for the money. The only thing I've had to do is re-glue the mounts on all of the devices I have (3) as they all snapped at some point but it's nothing a bit of superglue / resin can't sort.

Works well up to around 65mph... past that, no good :)

Distance for rider to rider is not the 800m they mentioned but more like 100m.

those are the ones we have that I was talking about, and they do a lot more than 100m at lower speeds, motorway or dual carriageway is a different matter, but we find that's because of the wind noise, not the distance

  4. we have the BT interphones , £60 off ebay , and done about 4000 miles with them this year.... as a cheap starter set id recommend them to anyone.

they do bike to bike, headset to phone, headset to sat nav, and music.

they work better when your in line of sight ( lost touch a few times in the mountains on our Scotland trip), and can be patchy at high speed in high winds....but generally very pleased with them, and im sure theyd be fine for what you're after

  5. Well you've certainly had your moments in the past, but then so did I when I first joined, and I'm normally a fan of burying hatchets...

But what can I say, after 6 years in retail mid-management I tend to fly off the handle when I catch the slightest whiff of shitting on the little guy

So I apologise if my fiery temper towards this sort of issue made me miss the funny side.

Seriously though, you need to take a chill-pill or something. What makes you think im not "the little guy" too??

haha , you weren't exact the tallest guy ... so that probably fits :P

  6. Derek you need to change your POLITE jacket for this one, which is a bit more appropriate apparently...

phil, I don't think that was necessary.... this thread has quietened down now, a personal attack/insult like that just isn't appropriate or needed at this point in time.
