  1. You may want to put some more details....like time of meet, Post Code or general location, etc.....that way people can then judge if they can make it or not......

Nice one mate......glad you got it sorted......
  3. And reading the blurb on their page it seems like they are not using cheap materials in the production.....and as you say they are UK based, so you can contact them directly if you have a problem.......but they responded pretty quickly when I had a question for them.....so I think they are pretty legit.....

Hopefully your sorted now mate.....but if not, check the connections and manifold around the carb......could be loose or cracked and letting air in around the carb......
  5. Hope you get it sorted Matt.......if not give these guys a bell and see if they can supply new disks for your bike......http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Zone-Products- ... 34.c0.m322
  6. I've had disks where some of the bobbins have seized. Check the ones that just failed matt. Could save you a fair bit of money mate......
  7. I dunno.....but I think MOD1 is purely off road....and MOD2 is the observed ride on the road...... Anyway....good luck with it.....hope it goes well.....
  8. Trouble is.....if the float sticks in the carb you could end up emptying a tank of fuel all over the floor...... FleaBay could be your friend here......and Chinese bikes often use common parts.....so you may find that a fuel tap for another Chinese bike will fit yours......but you'd need to check carefully before buying.....
  9. Good luck mate....hope it goes well for you.....
  10. Sorry mate....late reply.... Erm.....the BMF Tailender is a bit of an unknown quantity at the moment......a few years back I would have said it was definitely worth taking a day off to go there......but these days.....well, it's tailing off a bit..... Generally there are enough traders there to get some good bargains....but there is absolutely no guarantee of that this year......dunno if there's even a list of traders to look at and judge from......so it could be a bit of a gamble.....
  11. The trouble with Chinese fairings is....5 minutes after you've had one you want another one.....
  12. Let us know if you're going for another session....and when......so I can avoid it.......and having my ass kicked by both of you.....
  13. Sorry to hear of your problems..... I guess it's possible that the alarm is stuffing the ECU.....not something I've heard of before though..... Do you have an alarm bypass plug?......some alarms have a plug that you can put in place of the alarm if you don't want it in circuit anymore..... Sounds like you need to replace the ECU again.....and try it again......

    Is it cheaper?

Round & Black GOG...... Ultimate Bikes in Papworth (Cambridgeshire) will fit and balance tyres for £10 a wheel if you take the wheel to them.....and you can get tyres delivered there from Round & Black and various others........and they will loan you paddock stands and tools to get the wheels off your bike if you need to ride it in there to get the tyres replaced.......and the wheel balancing doofer is a Supa Dupa one which is used for balancing wheels for race bikes.....
  15. Congrats mate......good luck with the shopping.......
  16. Replace the Stator....and then see what voltage you get at the battery......if it's too high, then replace the Reg/Rec.....
  17. The 3 stator wires to ground should be high resistance.....if they are reading 1ohm then your stator is deffo shot and shorting to ground.....
  18. Well....a reasonable few of us made it down there.....and then up to Papworth for a burger..... Was a nice ride up to Papworth.....and all the guys resisted temptation when we got overtaken by a Harley.....excellent bit of restraint there chaps.......but it was bl**dy hard work.....
  19. Checking the Reg/Rec with a meter is a different ball game........there is a diode array (bridge) on the input from the alternator........and diodes will read different depending on which way round the meter leads are......approx 1kohm in the forward direction and pretty much infinite in the reverse direction.......and then the regulator bit will depend on the type of regulator and the components used in it.....so you'd need a diagram of the Reg/Rec really to be able to check that out..... But, as the thing Stu sent you says......basically between the stator wires you should get less than 1 ohm......but between each of the stator wires and ground (chassis) you should get infinity (near enough).....
  20. I should be up for the meet at the Marina tomorrow...... Unfortunately Bonniebird is working late.....so she won't be along.....and I'm not sure about NMan1 as he's off this week..... I think M00 and Ollie will be there....so there should be a few of us anyway.....
  21. Yeah....a lot of the motorcycle couriers I see in London use Rukka gear.......so they wouldn't spend that kinda money if it wasn't worth it......
  22. Awesome Benn......Rukka is good gear if a little pricey.....but you get what you pay for......awaiting a review once you've had a chance to put it through its paces.....
  23. Damn, Derek......did you get any notice or did they just spring it on you?..... Anything in the pipeline mate?
  24. Hey Lou.......there's a saying...."you can chose your friends......but you're stuck with your family"..... Luckily I have a really nice family......I just don't see enough of them really as most of them live down in Kent.....
  25. Hope you come out OK Rach......horrible time this......been there before and I know the stress you're under.......good luck....
