  1. Nice one RRQ......hope it goes ok......
  2. May be a little too loose?........as above, you'd have to wonder what would happen to the armour if you had an off.....
  3. Tuesday evening?......try out the Marina Social club thingy?.......weather looks like it could be OK.....
  4. No where near me...... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Loomies- ... 5772405873
  5. Nice one Chira......have lots of fun.....
  6. I'd put a meter across the battery and see what the voltage drops to when the starter is spinning......it could be that it's just dropping the voltage too low for the ignition circuit......is all I can think of.....
  7. Hmmm....dunno.....you may have to ask on a forum specifically for Kwaka's for that sort of info.... I'm guessing you're talking about a kinda EXUP valve that Yamaha's use?
  8. Brake and gear levers on a lot of bikes are vulnerable during an off......so there's a lot of bikes out there with non-standard levers on them....and particularly 125's.....so maybe have a look on eBay for a bike that's being broken....or even see if you can get the genuine items from KTM.....although that is likely to be a costly option....
  9. HHmmmm....putting on cold damp leathers.....not something I'd relish the idea of......
  10. Peter Frampton - Show Me The Way.......classic from the Summer of '76...... ">
  11. If it fell from thigh height onto the floor M00 it's probably OK......as Matty and Spence suggest, just check it over for any visible signs of damage....the only bit you won't be able to see is inside the outer shell where it hit the ground if that has dented the foam inner shell....but from that height and empty it's fairly unlikely that it's done any damage.....
  12. You don't have to use the £1/min number......either look up their number for dialling from abroad (usually starting with +44) or look up the normal number using one of the websites like "say no to 0870"....http://www.saynoto0870.com/........
  13. If the fuse blew with the bulb removed then it can't be that.....if I'm reading your response properly.....so it would be in the dip beam circuit......so follow that through...... I did have a problem one time with a bike where the wiring or switch was shorting down to the bars......a bit of insulation tape around the bars where the switchgear located sorted this out.....
  14. Not all online stores are big warehouses.......most specialist shops (like bike gear shops) sell stuff online.....so you're not necessarily taking business away from them..... As an example we have a music shop in Huntingdon selling guitars, drums, Keyboards etc......only a smallish shop.....but they have their own website and sell stuff through that too......same goes for GAK in Brighton....it's just a shop that sells stuff online too.... Just thought I'd throw that in as not all online stores are Amazonesque......
  15. So it's the Head/Tail fuse that keeps blowing? If that's the case remove both bulbs and try again......it's rare but not unheard of for a bulb to go short circuit......and if that don't do it you are then faced with checking all the lighting wiring to see if it's shorting down to the frame or to each other.....
  16. Met Moo and Ollie there this evening........but on the way out a couple of women came out from the Marina social club next to the burnt out pub and said that bikers will be welcome in the Social club and they'll open it on a Tuesday evening specially......and will also do bacon butties etc.....so this may well be worth checking out next week? Just back from Papworth......lots of Police presence on the roads this evening.....
  17. Working this Weekend unfortunately.......but there's an Air Ambulance rideout to the Brackley Motorcycle festival that's not a million miles form you..... viewtopic.php?f=11&t=48591
  18. If you run it with the oil filler cap off and stick your thumb over the hole can you feel the pressure in the crankcase? Oil pump working OK and connected OK? Oil filter OK and not clogged?
  19. Wind noise is difficult to judge until you actually ride anywhere with the lid on.......but earplugs will help...... Schuberth lids are supposed to be amongst the quietest lids around......but not cheap either.... Goretex gloves are mainly waterproof......and carry a higher price tag because of that......depends on budget but you may be better off looking for a couple of sets of gloves.....lighter ones for summer use....and some heavier ones for Winter..... The only stupid question is the one not asked mate......so ask away......
  20. Yeah....I'd try the Nightbreakers first and see how they go......
  21. And they'll be made in China too mate....
  22. It'll be worth it though Rach.....
  23. Too much spare time on your hands is all I can say.....
  24. Aren't they all these days Stu.....
  25. Never heard of that Bob The ones fitted to my model of Audi fit under the headlight with a cover over them and there is no air flow at all I'm sure I saw it somewhere Stu....where the fitting instructions said to make sure that the Ballast resistor was in a good airflow....
