  1. Well....as no one wants Moo's biccies and Tea we'll probably meet you either at the Marina or Papworth depending on when we get back from work.....
  2. Well done mate.....now the fun begins.....
  3. Nice one Martin & Rach......nice piccys too..... So....where are you planning next?.....
  4. I think Sunday the 8th should work for us......
  5. Congrats mate......happy days..... You need to sit on a few bikes to find one that suits.......sometimes you'll find that a bike that you've set your heart on just don't fit......
  6. Check out the Sharp site for the safety ratings for crash hats......there are some very good 4 & 5* lids at less than £100....... http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/ And if you can make it up to Peterborough next month for the BMF Tailend show there could be some decent kit at good prices up there as OhJay says.......
  7. Have you tried brighter bulbs as a starting place?.........you can get a pair of Osram Nightbreakers for around £10......deffo worth a try first if you haven't tried them already..... Anyway....the ballast resistor will need to be mounted somewhere where the air can circulate around it.....or it could burn out and take stuff nearby with it.....
  8. Yep....sounds like you've got a short circuit somewhere.....but without a wiring diagram I can't really help you too much....
  9. Moved to Pitstop.......
  10. I had factory panniers on the triumph trophy a few years ago. ........there's normally a limit to how much you can put in them weight wise. They were no wider than the bars......so filtering wasn't much of a problem. .....but you couldn't cut in too soon as they could catch the vehicle you were just passing. ...... The trophy was a big heavy bike......with plenty of oomphh. ......so they didn't affect the handling too much.......but could induce a slight weave at higher speeds...... So unfortunately you won't know what affect they'll have until you've got them on.....
  11. The whole place could well be cordoned off if the building is unsafe..... Hopefully we're back this week for Tuesday. ....depends a bit on work.....and the weather. ....
  12. Nice review mate....... Why not head over to the newbies section and introduce yourself to the gang when you can......
  13. Good luck for Sunday mate.......I think you've got the right attitude towards it.......so I'm sure you'll be successful this time. ......
  14. There's the cross Keys in great Gransden that have a bike mett......but I think it's only monthly and on a Wednesday night....but I'll check as I'm on their mailing list..... And the guvnor and his son are both bikers......
  15. Contact the insurance company and explain the situation. .....I'm sure they'll give you a bit more time if necessary. .....but don't leave it too long. ....
  16. Petrol is a kinda golden colour anyway.......but check the fuel filter and make sure there isn't a load of rust clogging that too.....
  17. A split in the inlet manifold will certainly not be good......get that sorted and see where you go from there.....
  18. I think that if you can't provide certification to prove your bike is suitable for the test they can refuse to let you take it...... and I think it states that a dyno certificate is not acceptable. .....but don't quote me. ..... Tbh I think I'd invest the money in using a schools bike to save any potential aggro......
  19. You may want to pm littlecat......but I'm sure she'll say just go for it......
  20. what's the missus gonna think when you want to go out on the bike every time the sun shines? Personally I'd head straight down the das route.........then get a bigger bike once you've passed...... Good luck......
  21. Check the connections between the carb and cylinder head and airbox as another lexmoto rider on the forum had trouble with a split in the rubber.......on a bike that is less than 6 months old.....
  22. Check out Rukka gear.......bl**dy expensive. .....but there's a reason most of the dispatch riders I see wear them.......
  23. Nice one mate. .........glad you got it sorted. .......and thanks for letting us know what it was.......
  24. Welcome to the forum mate......say hello in the newbies section when you can....... Check the basics first.......oil, plug, air filter, etc......... Also check tank breather....... Check these and let us know what they are like and we'll see where we go from there.....
  25. Welcome to the forum mate......... Say hello in the newbies section when you can...... If it's surface rust then a bit of a cleanup and some hammerite will sort it.......just watch out as this may be an indication of a bit of neglect by the previous owner......so check other things like fork legs, chain & sprockets, etc.......but may be ok.......
