  1. Got one of these for my other bike but haven't tried it yet http://www.bumbags4bikers.co.uk/
  2. having spent my working life in an office i think that my bum has become thin, i say this because i used to get numb bum after 30 miles or so - bought an airhawk but it only put off the inevitable, until say 60 miles, eventually got the seat rebuilt by a local leather guy who does boots etc but used to be a biker - he did a smashing job (i told him that i was after comfort) so no more airhawk, i puntured it (the airhawk) anyway so it would slowly go down. i think the airhawk saved my back a few times when i hit bad potholes, mind that was probably why it started deflating.
  3. no offence to any cycling bikers here - there is an element of the cycling fraternity that is attracted to the competitive side of cycling, these tend to be humourless fanatical barstewards, rather unattractive characters imo - not all are like this of course but there is a distinct tendency amonst them who are that way inclined.
  4. In Oxford there are quite a few 20 mph limits, I guess this is the way things are going in built up busy areas, takes a bit of getting used to holding your speed down in these zones but generally the faster you go the less time there is to react, there is some wild driving in the UK, as elsewhere I suppose, these characters seem to get away with it for the most part, I'm not sure how. I wasn't that aware of speed limits I am ashamed to say until the guy next door but one came a cropper on his bike and I thought of doing some IAM training, it is a bit school teacher but I've improved enormously since
  5. strange these cyclists putting themselves at risk the way they do, my pet fear is a motorist becoming frustrated at being struck behind a cyclist and thinking, oh it's only a motorbike coming now, then violently pulling out to overtake the cyclist in a fit of pique and catching me in the process. incidentally my brother, who I obviously love very much, is a keen cyclist, he told me how some members of his club caught up with a motorcyclist that had, they felt, come too close to them for comfort and beat him up, I imagine in a fairly limp handed manner, as far as I could gather, I just kept quiet - bl**dy cyclists I thought. http://youtu.be/VSzx41AyfB0 dispute between two mountain bikers - sorry but I had to laugh http://youtu.be/VSzx41AyfB0 bit more on tw*tty bicyclist behaviour
