  1. torque wrench is over rated! i have a friend who follows the haynes manual to the letter. I'm a little more slap-dash, being too yorkshire to "splash out" on a torque wrench!
  2. I'm pretty sure I'm too fat to ride moto gp. And too old!
  3. Meatloaf - Paradise by the dashboard light. desperately trying to learn it for a wedding we have to play in a few weeks time and i still don't know the structure of the song! Apologies if it's your wedding we're playing! also listening to chris cornell in anticipation of seeing him doing an acoustic set on june 16th. on top of that - plenty of muse and dream theater, genesis and white snake! spotify is useful for tracking what you're listening to!

In which case - I sincerely hope that when he'd last filled his car up, he'd accidentally soaked his groin in petrol...
  5. i love the way they say "just relax, it's a normal proceedure..." MAYBE FOR YOU IT IS! having my orofices probed by some bloke twice my age is definately NOT normal for me! My experience was somewhat different though. I started shitting blood a couple of years back, so i took a visit to the man vets to see if it was anything serious. First time I'd been to the docs in about 15 years and i can honestly say they're getting attractive! Anyway, my doc was an early 30's cute brunette. I described the problem - she had me hop on a bench then proceeded to violate me with her finger. Turned out to be nothing too serious, but i've found myself making excuses to go back to the docs! I hope your issues turn out to be none too serious though.

  7. i thought it was because i "disobeyed his order" as well. i've just never liked to labour an engine more than is necessary.

I was driving up the m18 once, i'd borrowed the mother in laws s3, so i was pretty much shitting it anyway (didn't want to total that thing!). A van overtook me and out of the passenger window came a drink, along with the container and landed on the windscreen. The van then decided that he would swerve around alot and drive in front of me and slam his brakes on etc. I have no idea why he was doing this - it was a pretty much abandonned motorway. anyway - a 2litre diesel transit isn't much of a match for a 2.0 turbo charged s3. I gave it some beans and blasted past him. Still don't know what that was all about though - i don't think i'd done anything to provoke him.
  9. I did my CBT up at Tommy bee, rawdon. I'm dubious about going back there for my DAS because some of the bikes seemed a little flakey. However the instructors were great guys - hence the dilemma!
  10. So when i did my CBT, first time on a geared bike i might add, mr chappie (instructor) was talking me through the bike and just as we're about to set off, he told me to set the revs and let the clutch out slowly. Instead of following exactly what he said, i increased the revs a little and let the clutch out, always maintaining the same revs by balancing the 2. His reaction to this was "hmm, That's interesting..." I'm just wondering why this reaction?!
  11. I generally think we're lucky in west yorks to have so many areas of natural outstanding beauty less than an hour away from our front doors. I do like getting out and using the feet as well to climb some big hills, and we're really spoilt for choice. now where's me flat cap and whippet?
  12. I recently offloaded an intruder - one of those regret buying it shortly after buying it jobbies! anyway - it developed a fault and i couldn't find a manual for under £60 (ebay). Ah well, it served its purpose and onto bigger and better things. bandit 650 after my test is passed
  13. correction - you will spend most of it filtering
