  1. Where can I get a balot paper ? depends if you're going to use said balot paper to mop up after thinking about scantily clad ladies delivering the news!
  2. i have a eurohike cheapy thing, cost me £21 - and has been worth every penny. at those beans, im not overly concerned if it gets trashed. a friend of mine bought a pop up tent for around £40 and we found her asleep on the grass outside it - it did nothing!
  3. || the gap between the 2 lines is my knowledge of 2 stroke engines. And all that's included therein is that 2 stroke engines smell bad! Sorry dude - I can't help!
  4. Dave Gorman analysed that Ian dury song in a stage show called reasons to be cheerful. He took each and every line and spoke how it could be a reason to be cheerful! I still laugh about it to this day, that is one funny man!
  5. a friend of mine from uni did work placement at heysham power station in the I.T department there. one day he was challenged with replacing a malfunctioning fan from one of the computers. he removed the fan and ordered a new part which would arrive the next day. Overnight, the computer overheated and shut down, causing the power station to enter safe mode. it took them 3 days to restart the power station, costing thousands in lost production. Strangely, after his work placement, I beleive he still works there
  6. maybe i should be looking a little harder for a das course then. i nearly spent £300 more!

    USD fork seals

    plenty of guides on youtube.
  8. I'm at the same stage. There's divided opinion about what your choices are. Some say that going for das straight after CBT means that you don't have any bad habits. However there are those that say practice is essential. Personally, im going right the way through without owning a 125 in between. i did buy a 125 with the intention of doing it up a bit, but ended up selling because i just want to ride! there are some that say they can't give you a clear price on a das course because they don't know your skill (and therefore don't know how many lessons you will need) then there are those that are charging around £800.
  9. if there is a line between the 2 panels (i.e. a small gap) then matching so closely won't be too much of an issue. it's mainly when you're repairing a section of a main panel, even then, you'd need to feather it in. i've taken a quick look online and the device you're after is a handheld spectrophotometer. they currently retail at around £2500... im sure they will have one at your local body shop though...
  10. yours is a pretty old bike, it's unlikely that the paint on yours won't have faded over the years. I'm pretty sure a good paint shop can tell you what the paint code needs to be now for a good match. Although i don't know how much they might charge for this service!
  11. My mates little brother is the same. He's quite special, but not handicapped or anything, just a bit of a social tard! He's still at home with his parents. I was the same as you though, I was always quite a shy person, but at 18, i made the decision that if i was ever going to leave home, i needed to do it then, so i packed up and went off to university. Whomever said that the school years are the best years of your life, never went to university! Yes i was poor, probably smelt quite bad at times and ate rubbish food for 4 years of my life, but i had a damn good time doing it and if i hadn't, i'd have never met my wife. I feel sorry for those people that don't leave home and rot with their parents. it basically ruins 3 lives.
  12. such an ecclectic taste in music/entertainments we all have!
  13. Ok, so the wife told me "I have bought you a birthday present, you're gonna love it - you need to get the 1st November off work." ooo. so i got the 1st of november off work - and thought nothing more of it. Fast forward a couple of days and im checking what's coming up - Dragon Force, Manchester 5th october, £15 tickets. possible... Muse 1st November manchester AWESOME!!! i must go!!! aw wait... 1st november, thats when the wife has bought me that present that i have taken the day off for --- My last gig was Chris Cornell of soundgarden/audioslave/chris cornell fame. he played an acoustic set for 2 hours and was quite brilliant. That man can wail. So what was your last gig and what are you going to next?
  14. been listening to Dragonforce, razorlight and a collection of random 70's and 80's rock bands.
  15. i had that instruction once, told to stay off the booze for a good while. ended up being 6 months. The body is a wonderful thing and can repair itself in most situations without much external assistance.
  16. 6 months of pins and needles for me, been to GP's twice and been told to take ibuprofen. I've given up now - im just going to live with it.
  17. bit of this and bit of that. been to some proper tedious ones where the thought "why were we even invited" crossed our minds more than once. had my own wedding about 6 months ago. it was great. we plied people with alcohol and a bit of yorkshire hospitality. big keg of ale, box of cider and as much wine as you could shake a stick at. nobody really went stupid and made a total arse out of themselves. most people lubricated and danced like mentalists! all in all - it was fun, but knackering!
  18. at the risk of sounding like martin lewis... I would pay off the bike, however if i had other debt at a higher rate than the 3% bandied around, i'd pay that off first. however, as someone who has recently got rid of a car because it was costing too much, i can't believe what a difference that extra £200-£400 a month makes. I no longer feel like i have a car that's grinding me into more and more debt!
  19. have fun. Bagsy burgle his house while he's away!
  20. I have it on my porch. I can't comment on overall life as it's only been there 2 years, however in those 2 years, it's stayed very dry underneath!! best way of describing it is that it's a little like an upturned hull of a boat. It's expensive though. I just bought it as everything i'd read said the life was around 30 years - and it was a headache i never wanted again.
  21. yup, just saving a few extra pennies so i don't bankrupt myself. im planning on taking a few days off next month so i can get it all out the way. im getting sick of cycling now!
  22. Took my theory test on saturday just gone. I got to the test centre an enthusiastic 45 minutes early and they piled me straight in. 49/50 in the theory test section - no worries there. i dropped a few marks on the hazard perception - partly because of a gammy mouse and partly because of a sheep that should learn how to cross the damn road! Oh well! onwards to the next challenge - Mod 1!
