  1. Shame it's rather a long way away from us - we love a good rock band!!
  2. Well done you!!
  3. Hi Chris Yep - bang on. or you can opt to take test on bigger bike then ride what you like!
  4. Sorry Mum. Look here, I may be old but I'm not that f*kin' old!!!! Keep digging.....that hole is getting bigger and bigger! BTW hope the 'headache' is better! Sorry Boss -
  5. Oi!!!! Behave yourself you!!! I have administrative powers you know!!!!
  6. Strange post removed!
  7. Vicks, you could always go in the car from here - not that far I don't think I know it's not the same as biking though EDIT - Ok, forget that Was looking at where MRM comes from - North Birmingham. Catterick is up in Yorkshire! (I'm a thick cow! )
  8. You'd need some training before the test I should imagine, so that they can teach you how to pass your test - what examiners pick up on etc. Ring a local centre, tell them how old you are & that you wnt to take your restricted test & they will advise you on your best course of action.
  9. Lol both posted together!! Well that's 2 of us saying similar things so must be on the right lines! EDIT: As far as training schools are concerned I wouldn't think you need to go to a school that specifically does A2 tests - I would've thought any training school offers both DAS and A2.
  10. Hi Nic It can be very confusing!!! Take a look at this thread - http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 47&t=31635 I think the A2 test you're referring to is the one that Cobbz calls the 125 route. I left 21 years of age a long time ago so didn't need to know about this! But as far as I know, the basic difference between A2 & full DAS is that when you're under 21 you can only take your test on a 125cc bike and have to be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years. I'm pretty certain that the test itself is the same for both restricted A2 and DAS. Hope I'm not giving you bum info here!
  11. VirginMedia are total w*nkers!!! Customer services....my arse!!!! Still no access to all my important saved emails!!! F*CK IT!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Well done for sticking at it!! You can bet you're not the only person who has had this sort of experience - by a long way!!! You'll get there eventually and don't let anyone push you into doing more than you feel confident with, or trying to compete with others. Take as long as you need - you'll be a better rider for it! Why not introduce yourself in our Newbies section?!
  13. Spot on advice about the pushbike thing!! When I did my CBT I had trouble with the figure 8's and slow speed turning, so Rennie took me to a car park on pushbikes (I'd not been on one of those for years either!!) & practised turning in parking spaces. It helped enormously! Dunno why, but I had more trouble with slow right turning than I did left - strange!
  14. Absolutely! Made all the worse to watch since you know that the poor guy died
  15. Thought they'd removed the video from internet??
  16. Not really sure if it would. I tried several different avenues to get one for my 06 bike - yamaha, repair centres, internet etc but it seems the mounting point differs
  17. I should imagine that the the padding inside squashes down over time & therefore would affect the fit. Trouble is, you'd get used to it & not realise that it wasn't as snug as it ought to be
  18. Yes! It was a shocking crash & I was amazed that more riders weren't involved! Sad loss of a youngster Here's hoping Scott Redding is ok - haven't heard how he is yet.
  19. Rennie reckons top speed he had on my YBR was 60mph, but got slightly more on his lad's - nearly 70 down a steep hill, flat on the tank!! The difference could be that his lad's bike has been used more than mine. But Rennie isn't a small person!!
  20. That's a long way from home for you James!!
  21. Rather a late respopnse to this but yeah, my 06 YBR doesn't have a side stand either & haven't as yet been able to find 1 that will fit. If you do find one, please let me know!!!!!!!
  22. Might be a good idea to redo your CBT early so it doesn't run out between Mod 1 & Mod 2??
  23. Ha ha ha that's the best line I've heard for ages!!!!!
  24. As has been said - a great weekend with great people! ( ) Campervan performed well!!
