  1. Of course you dont have to have your lessons with the same place that you do your CBT. If you find you don't get on with them then choose somewhere different! And like has already been said, don't be bullied or talked into doing something you're not happy with! The CBT isn't a test & if it takes more than 1 day to finish the training then so be it - better to feel safe and confident than be sorry! I took my test way before I was ready for it, cocked it up well & truly and it kind of put me off for a while.
  2. Following our last rideout to the Ace, don't let Rennie go!! He'll still be riding round the North Circular 3 weeks later!!
  3. I would be surprised if the actually manufactured it - just got their logos etc on it. Maybe try & find out who makes the jackets etc for them then you could buy that brand trousers.
  4. Generally speaking, you need to get the same brand if you want them to zip together. But you say it's a Triumph jacket - is it their own make or have another clothing company made it for them? If so you could well get away with buying that make of trousers. Also most manufacturers will supply the other half of the zip with the trousers/jacket, so you can take a different pair to a place that does the job to have the zips made compatible. Does that make sense??????
  5. Hi! Why not introduce yourself in the Newbies section??!!

  7. Erm I'm nt sure but Rennie will be along later - he'll know Lol
  8. Think that happened last year too Phil!!
  9. Rennie says last year it was about £5 each - that's for parking & all day.
  10. Reckon a pillion would find it difficult to carry a rucksack if you've got a biggish top box
  11. Moved here into Racing section - more appropriate part of the forum.
  12. Lost a good friend because of a heart attack. F*UCK IT!!!!!
  13. Don't think you're on too much at all!! We seem to accept things like this all too readily - just buy a new one etc. But manufacturers need to be told when their products are substandard, otherwise they won't see the need to improve the quality of their goods. It's very fortunate you noticed the fault before, God forbid, the back protector was called into use in a accident!
  14. Good result! So often companies are reluctant to refund people's money & try offering a replacement. Hope Knoxx come up with some vouchers or something to compensate!
  15. I'd do both - take it back to where you bought it AND get in touch with the manufacturer. I know it's easier to email but I would suggest you write a letter instead/as well as - less chance of it getting 'lost'! Manufacturers don't like bad publicity, and a suggestion to them that you might be considering putting the word out on their poor quality product may have an effect! Oh and possibly take some photographs before you return it to the shop - evidence you understand!
  16. Definitely a few of those on here!! But friendly weirdo's nevertheless!!
  17. Yes it's a good idea, but the wole point is that you haven't had the back protector for very long and it's already falling apart!! Now I kow I'm a grumpy old woman but I'd be taking it straight back to where it was bought from! This is supposed to be an important piece of safety kit but obviously isn't up to standard!!
  18. Maybe a little more info would be good - like in what way does it feel rough? Could be other things, enough air in the tyres? Oil in the forks? Fork seals ok?
  19. Moved here - more appropriate section of the forum
