  1. Hi welcome. You are going to have to find a local bike shop or similar to help you with that. YouTube is good for looking at the basics, ideas of what is needed to be done etc. should be plenty on there for that bike l would have thought. Good luck 😄

It's a suzuki 125, engine sounds fine, the only unusual sound is a rattling in the exhaust..I was wondering if there could be a blockage there🤷‍♂️

something will be loose like an exhaust bracket were it bolts to the head or something similar. Get a screwdriver or anything really and start poking it about, you'll soon find the source of your rattle.

I shall nominate PayPal for nob award.

My wife wanted a cushion for our granddaughter's play tent. She ordered one and I paid using my PayPal account.

Nothing arrived. Weeks went by, no cushion.

After many messages eventually she received something entirely different which we asked to send back. The seller refused.

I took it to PayPal resolution who asked us to post it back at our cost before they would consider a refund. I warned them the seller dodgy and likely to disappear once they had the item back.

So having paid postage on a very large item we didn't order the seller has failed to provide a refund and PayPal are doing nothing about it.

I used them on the basis there was some protection from scams but they have done absolutely nothing.

Hate Paypal l refuse to use them. As much as l don't like Amazon it's really easy to get your money back if stuff is wrong.

    New battery in the Harley . Yuasa YTX20 , £100  , ouch !

The old one wasn't holding a charge despite what the Optimate was saying .

Does anyone else suspect that Optimates are grossly over hyped pieces of junk ?

Never had one so have no real idea, but I'm glad you asked that.

  6. Don't know if this is true but l always thought it was the granite in the tarmac. I noticed the tyre wear myself and had a good look at the surfaces, that's what I put it down to anyway. Happy enough with the grip.

  7. Hi, yep that's had a good battering. Just had a browse on ebay and the replacement parts aren't as expensive as you might think, sure you'll have to put a few hundred into it but the parts are out there. I take it the frame and forks are straight?

  8. The only time I ever had a ride on a 250 superdream was when I had one as a borrow bike while my CB900 was in the workshop. ( Cam chain ). I think it was quite probably the slowest 250 I've ever ridden, ever. I remember it well for that very reason.

Good luck with the sidecar stuff l think that's a great idea.

  9. Hi,

I had aa cover for the last 2 years, roadside and full recovery. I got it on a 2 year fixed price thing for £89 a year, this covers my bike and my van. The renewal just came through, they want £140 this year for the same thing.

Gem offers the same cover for just under a hundred pounds so I'll give them a go this time l think.

Breakdown cover is one of those things you never want to need so it's a bit of a gamble. Saying that if you have it it's better than nothing and does give you a starting point and some peace of mind.

Let us know if you find anything, mines due in May.

  10. Hi, welcome.

A lot of the clocks are interchangeable, you are best finding out the part number to see which ones will work. I'll put a link up so you can see what yours is to start with, then you can look to see what else uses the same and go from there. The mileage is stored on the clock (meter)

Alternatively there are some folk who repair them, they used to advertise on ebay, never used them so don't know but could be worth a look.

  11. Yeah the little flashing light does go off after a bit. It remembers the time and such so it must have some parasitic draw, even miniscule.

I use one of the little solar trickle chargers on mine, been good for me.
