My tyre man has replaced the two 90s on mine, one of which was original and leaking. I even drew arrows for the correct directions. But after a few hours they went completely flat. I can move the valves with a prod of the finger. On breaking the bead of the tyre to have a look he's put the nut on upside down and because you can't get a socket on it that way in the recess of the rim finished the job off with a chisel and hammer. I could maybe live with that if it was actually tight. There is some blame in the product itself mind, the actual bit of rubber gasket doesn't fully fit inside the diameter of the hole, maybe that's why he had to turn the nut upside down to reach some thread. Argh. Shit job anyway. I'm going to try myself with some Bridgeport branded 90s instead of the ones I got off eBay. This is why I've never liked anyone working on my stuff, apart from tyres, til now.

yeah some are ok, devon ports? a brand that was got from demon tweeks that was fitted to the Triumph worked well. but the mech i use isnt a keen or fond of them.

i just keep ot the simple rubber straight valves.

for the gauge - bought a std 90 degree valve version, thou if i wanted i could do what i did below to it aswell.

to pump the tyre up i removed a threaded valve from a bycycle suspension pump and attached that to the pumps hose. twist on and off with thread. barely loses pressure and far less than others designed devices ive used.

  2. ill assume its the front your referring to?

first level of warping is more likely from the buttons and the connection faces due to crap/corrosion disc built up. later levels are poor brake maintenance, poor service, button failure....

not from toprak levels of antics, though wearing will be.😄

Brake cleaner, toothbrush, fine pick, air line if possible.

Jeeeeeezus, that's disgusting, so much for me thinking you took it to the right place.

Pads take 5 minutes to replace, but admittedly, headrace bearings are a bit of a job.

When you take it to the local, don't ask him to do it, but ask him for his opinion.

    agree with SD.

sometimes they dont actually need replacing, just releasing(loosen) the tension on them and other ones then reset and tightening up again.

  4. personally i dont think they should artificially make an electric have a ice sound, it was bad enough when they did ice sounds or ice car's interior theough either the head units speakers or through hub resonaters with the ford rs/st, clio and lotus.

also they just dont gel as they go about things differently (also the gearing helps/hinders of each type), its like gaming in the 90s (pew pew) when you have actually used fire arms.

fine for 20s and thirties fine for pedestrian reasons, thing as long as it doesn't have the one from the honda eny1, only seems to work up to 5mph so wakes everyone up within a 1mile radius while the neighbour does a four point turn getting out of the driveway and to other side street. sound it admits its funny and annoying at the same time, sounds like holy ancentsion chant and the shouting start up animation tone from the ps3....but yet still almost running over all the kids on the side roads (20mph) with a nearly 3ton moving firebomb.

  5. as Yorky and Gero says:

cars are different as they have two units very far apart (right on edges of a lane with a very wide beam so the spread across two lanes (one either side) so they need abit of redirecting. bikes are not that mostly (or should in view of licence and road manners bs- real world is totally different) single beam with a reasonable spread so they don't require it.

a lot of modern motorcycles led units are quite bright while have a good spread of light.

  6. ive got the nxr which is a great helmet overall, just wished they had a better/tighter mechanism on the visor rachet, slightly more rigid visors and the pu coating on the lower sections of the cheek pads were thicker/stronger. visor options are really restricted and over priced.

would buy again over an Arai defo.

  7. volt meter will be your friend for both cases.

treat it similar to bike for testing also id test the batteries solo, might be both are in poor shape or one is completely goosed while the other might be the barely holding on widdow, youll only know if teseted separated.

  8. Yep sounds like bs to me, well if u was on holiday or visiting and it got stolen there but not at home they will not pay out just because you didnt park it at home every night? jog on!

if she was in a learning residential all the docs would be addressed to the home address regardless, same here.

personally id get it registered at your address, say it will be kept at yours. if owt happened it would be classed as stolen while visiting the mother...easy.
