Yeah also often run the loom far too short and tight around the bike. Gave my old bike the "cant switch off the indicators that went into variable disco lights settings while i was about 100 miles away from home" it got there attention but confused the crap out of car drivers at the same time. Just wanted to know just for interest, knowledge and future reference, it would be good to know which one it was...

Cheaper than bearing and shaft replaces of shafties!!! makes you keeps an eye on your bikes general wear and tear, plus the lubes keep any rust if any will happen at bay

me and the misses caught it just before my birthday pre vaccine available for us at our age back in 2021... the wrapping paper for the present was fantastic . in hindsight should have gone to hospital but the 7yr old had it too so we couldn't leave her but didnt suffer any symptoms luckly for her, we suffered with long Covid... weirdly sister in law has just caught it for the first time but still vaccinated too while on holiday in wales i think...

Personally if id suggest to a newer rider that wants to shy on safe side for normal pure road use it would be the monster over the hyperstrada and even the hypermotard is more single minded and to get anything near how IT wants to be ridden will be more of a moto style- leg out arse on the other side of the seat.. tiny fuel tank, no thought for normal life...just moto styles on cadwell park or back roads of Yorkshire just to name a few quirks. Monster is slightly more road biased and forgiving than the ktm if im to be honest plus if tou ever want to px it it will be worth more and nearly any peeps will take it, only fly if your concerned about it is the when it needs the service will be a bit more than the ktm but id rate the reliability better on modern ducatis better. v check on insurance.. they can be funny buggers when rating them both... ducatis cost more but less likely to need a claim while the ktm is cheaper potentially atracks more. See which and what works best for you! the yanko is very heavy for its specs thought the weight is fairly low , slow and bar sort of dealers being trained to deal with daft designs and backwards thoughts... I LAUGHED inside when ive seen two bike places struggle just to change a rear tyre... i wont spoil the thoughts of what people think outside of the HD and normal bikers think of them. well you can slap most new bikes in low power, high abs and high traction control until you get comfortable with your riding and experience.. you can always lower the nanny level later on when you feel better with your own riding. -
The reason i say is because my misses has the v6 toogle and grips on her bike while i have the newer v8or 9and it is better controller, the grips as they made them thinner ( hotter) also better for heat control in the first place. with the newer ones even in winter near or at minus degrees, i rarely need more than 50% even with my jack frost hands!!

Harley is good for your legs but is really hunching and pulling on your shoulders ull suffer with upper shoulders to lower neck in no time. So you have slightly shorter arms into relation to you spine which is why you have baggy long drop tops? which explains the Its abit of a ape bike, So raised abit and needs to be wider but really really a lot closer. The rear brake needs a little tweak. Front brake will need moving out slightly. Weirdly the monster is probably very good out of the box, if i was picky it would be a few mm closer and just tilt the lever ever so slightly down a few mm too. so Rocket has chonky grips no??? What glove size do u have large or xl?? Do you want a full grip grab or happy with less? A fair reach / of a stretch to the bars no? Yeah youll wanna pull them back.. but wont ache as much as the harley if you dont bother. width isnt terrible but depend if you are ok to splacing your arms out skightly (like press ups). Due to the tri pulling you hips and rotating slightly back it sorta makes your thighs seem shorter but you lower leg longer...not bad id say better if tou could get the bars back slightly. lower the rear brake lever slightly. -
Agree with the impact driver but if u dont have one offer the bit to the bolt and hit it with a hammer. sounds stupid but have you tried tightening it up just a bit first! just to get if off its set seat then try undo it again, worked for me Especially with a impact.
-
Are u after the end can or the full system? From the pictures they are not the same. the end can pretty sure wont without bodging. The manifold definitely is different in angles and sensor placement.
-
Agree with bender its just stupid but to be a conspiracist - Yes to hide there dodgy crap work, Just goes to shows the manufacturer cant programme the damn things properly in the first place!!! does it go into limp home mode when it does it? If not its a low level problem, probably just a sensor (worker) sees something out of its parameter and says it but the ECU (management) is quick to dis it cos it don't wanna upset the suits (board). im luckly at the moment as i have an old school bike, smug mode engaged. Sorry i need to feel good about myself right now.

Height is a blessing and a curse eh? Not a bad shout out.worth a gander. seat height is about 31in saw the pics wit Neeves whos 6 foot, with roughly equal thigh to lower leg length and his knees were at if not a fraction lower than his hips with feet flat on the pegs while shifting on the seat corning. From the pics your thighs look slightly longer than the lower leg... every one is different. you may find it acute for your knees, the pegs are quite low and grinding could be easy if you decide to venture to leans its possible to do on that bike you'll have little option to lower the pegs only to try ones that shift them forward. other ways would be to get a bigger/ taller seat for it to raise you up..or raise the back up but id doubt there's enough top thread space to throw a few shimms in there unless the top spec has the olins option to raise it otherwise its a different shock. the only joys with being new is that you dont have muscle memory to tell your mind form the off..."this is wrong, nooo, Ouch" -

either way you look set to get one... just buy on condition!! It always costs more to bring it to a condition your happy with than just to buy in that the first place! Make sure its straight and is whats it is, dont pay over the odds, there are plenty of others. oh and if i might suggest plenty of acf50 and electricial grease. oh just remembered in your other post why when u said you was gonna get it some parts / upgrades? for it, like the exhaust (it was weathered which reads as rusted) which is understandable but the thing that threw me was "to get it some plugs", Why plugs? -

Thats because ducati have changed alot in recent years in business, bikes (some would say less charm and character ), practice and ethos so to them they chased others (japs) losing there trademark and more importantly tradition. Hell maybe on a another view of some other people they Got bored of them? So the triumphs have got the looks sorted and not cheaped out on appearances and reliability, even the engine has something about it. Possible its just one of those rose tinted foreign idea like people buying American v8 mustangs and pickups) While guzzi hasnt changed from the good old days and tradition so thats why they get the bless u my child! Yes piaggo own them, still italian which counts, the everyday person scooters rule the streets and look trendy. They leave Guzzi to it! Engines and frames are pretty much the same, built the same way, pretty much as many parts possible are Italian or sourced and almost in the same spot they were before from the beginning .. hell they still have their ancient wind tunnel!! HFC is that!!! i was sooo ready and set to buy a guzzi, was a toss between the my fave the Griso (still bloody love that bike) and the v7 but alas life, maybe the next bike -

That was the hyper motard yes? If so The hyperstrada would be a better match than the motard. not bad but very very basic tool. but doesn't take into accounts the various individual body parts dimensions that beings are! back length, neck length, shoulder width, forearm length , thigh length, shin length, foot size, hands...all play apart. Also determines if any aftermarket parts for purchase maybe required to at least make it as comfortable as possible... nothing worse that shelling out a load of money on a bike just to find out it uncomfortably painful to ride afters for more than 20mins. -

I love MVs as much as anyone and if i lived in italy that or ducati wiuld be my bike but here in GB...sorry. Many Problems they have past related that have kept hindering them. Most is well known other than to say badly in these regards- organised, managed, money, Future proofing. Get rid of all the top level management including the owner, charming and the hearts in the right place not the mind with rhe decisions. when they do get some money or a new buyer with huge pockets what do they do??? Just celebrate too much and make another bike that's pretty much the same bar short of a few more parts untested through poor supplier and slap another chunk of money on for good measure rather than just make sure money is put in to the supply and the chain that feels the dealers which will at least sort bikes out a lot quicker when they do need parts. They are too small and niche and spend far too much r&d on little parts, find suppliers that are mates of mates (you scratch my back I'll scratch yours), most of these suppliers are untested leaving to poor supply or total lack of back up. If the stocked up in the first place it would cost less in the long run... they have the mentality of we make one bike and that is it anything else is tomorrows problem (kicking the can down the road) not looking at what will that bike needs for its life cycle in parts supply for stock. spend too much effort and sign off from that rather than actual adult engineering and logical solutions THEN sign off from that. I work with Italians so i know there mind set... they have a reputation in the business that is just. there is many others problems but ill leave it there.. When u look at it its abit like nortons mentality...just minus charmed owner and pension.
