Lumor_uk
Due to wiring my bike wrong I messed up the horn, it's hit and miss whether it sounds when I press it. I presume this is an MoT failure. Wondering now I've worked out the wiring can I use the spare light switch on my right handle bar as a horn switch (If I label it horn) or does it need to be a button to pass?MoT not till December

Lumor_uk
you've got til dec, all you need is a positive feed to switch, then out to horn and horn earthed. I reversed the polarity and melted the horn switch. Replaced the spring and contact point but its still iffy might have another go but if that fails need a pointer about the switch. Lumor_uk
Good idea, but then for that price I might as well wait for another left hand gear switch to come up on ebay at a good price.
blakeatron
I removed all my switchgear from the track bike but needed a horn to pass the daytime mot, all i did was get a 'bike-it' waterproof button (£3) and wire it in.Took maybe 15 minutes tops
