dixie
I've noticed I've got a squeaky back brake, dad says it that the underside of the brake pads need greasing As always I know nothing about it, is it easy to do? Should I replace them to be on the safe side? Any suggestions greatly appreciatedThanks Dixie
eastanglianbiker
i assume its a disc brake just check thickness of pads if they are ok you can take them out aand put small amout of copper slip on the rear of the pads not the disc side ths should cure the squeak
j4ff
I would take out the pads clean the dust build up on them.Would also use a toothbrush and soapy water to clean out the caliper before copper slipping the back of the pads and refitting. Guest
Permatex car disc brake quiet, works a treat. you use it on the back of the pads in the same way as copper slip, it costs about a fiver for two sachets.
