houdini Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 2 hrs 53 for me, and chances are the aa routemasters spot on lolI will try and beat it, lets just say Im leaving my house at 8.15 am Weather looks good according to met office, to all concerned lets agree that after 7pm on friday we should have a good idea on weather and we can agree then, dont want us all to go out and be miserable. So unless torrential rain is forecast the word CONFIRMED will be posted on the title.14 peeps so far with more on the fence, never been to Matlock on a Saturday but I presume there will be less there than a Sunday but could be wrong.Planning on taking over the centre section of the car park like last time.As vain as it sounds, if you are goin please give us an idea of bike / lid so w know who to flag. The usual ones I know but any newbies itd be easier.Me Im on a black z750s, black kit and a blue arai starflaghttp://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/arai1.jpg Quote
queen bodecia Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Ahem. 16 miles and approximately 20 mins for me. I might actually make it... Quote
rennie Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 H can you put up some sort of itinerary? I don't know what time I'll be able to leave work so could do with knowing where you'll be when. If I come on bike means I'll have to go to work on it at 0430. So depends what weather is like then, If at work in car and finish early enough will try to find you then, in car Quote
nman1 Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Had to vote no on this one.....mores the pity. Doing family stuff. Quote
houdini Posted October 17, 2007 Author Posted October 17, 2007 Timetable as followsHand your homework in to the headteacher at precisely..okay so I will say this only once From 11am start getting your bums to the Mining museum car park, have some chips, drink etc. Try and park up in the centre section, all who park there will either be a member or hassled until they become one lol.Make yourself known if your new, Im sure Im not the only one thats turned up to a meet thinkin christ gonna look a fool if I say hi to total strangers, sod it were all a friendly bunch At 1pm we will leave the car park and head up to the cat n fiddle. Leaving there between 3 and 4pm to trek home. I know and agree a group ride round the hills sounds great but lets leave this one as a general meet and chat about your bike etcIf you want to come in small groups (like us me / gimpy / jota / para) take your time enjoying the ride there and back.As for the trip up to the cat, weve got about 14 riders so far, if dipsticks like me remember to turn fuel taps on we can ride together at a sensible pace, if you know your way and want a blast make it known to all, this isnt a race so if you want a fast and slow group tell us. I will be in the slow group, going to ask para to lead us. This group wont overtake unless we think all can, hence the slow group lol If theres only three of us it doesnt matter but please be safe, dont ride like an ar*ehole trying to impress, you wont.Does that cover everything? If that plan isnt good enough to please ya then give me a clip round the ear on Saturday Quote
techno Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Probably best ya leave ya helmet on then Quote
