hammer5 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Nice kit mate I'm envious how much did it all cost? Also i wouldn't worry about being a power ranger unless you use certain colours BB Quote

Stuno1 Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 Cheers mate. Went with black and white so i dont need new gear everytime i get a new bike :0)Do i need to treat the leathers with anything?Stu Quote
Guest Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 yes and no. they recommend they are 'fed' and kept clean etc. A quick search should throw up leather feed and care instructions. Personally I have never bothered with anything but a wipe down with a damp cloth Quote

Guest Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 you might want to invest in a waterproof oversuit too, cos wet leathers ain't funny Mine are waterproof which is an absolute boon, but generally speaking I use textiles. Leathers won't come out til it warms up a bit Quote
Stuno1 Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 Good call mate, will have a look around. I only plan on using the bike in the dry once i have passed though.Stu Quote
iiisecondcreep Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Nice one! Love those boots Wish there was a George White up here, keep browsing the clearance section.... hopefully they'll have a good selection at the bike show again this year, got my helmet there last year for half price Quote
Stuno1 Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 Good kit, love the lid. That was a bit of luck tbh. I originally wanted 2010 model but they did not have any in my size. Turns out a supplier sent them a 2011 model by mistake and it was my size. Snapped it up Nice one! Love those boots Wish there was a George White up here, keep browsing the clearance section.... hopefully they'll have a good selection at the bike show again this year, got my helmet there last year for half price Cheers bud, the guy who was serving me recommended them.Just want to put it all to use now. mattyb Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I got some leather soap, mostly for horse riders gear, makes the leather kit look like new. You'd definitely notice it on the white bits. It's not really necessary though. Ran my non biking leather jacket through it and it made it look brand new again. Quote
Guest Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 nice kit m8..... you ll look soooooooo cool on your cbt Quote

Guest Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 First post... but I went to Hein Gericke in Plymouth last weekend and bought a few bits before I have my CBT (5th March)I bought Helmet, HJC IS-16 Type 0 in Matt Black: http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/prod ... ts_id/5779 In MEDIUM, I thought my head was huge...! Love the matt black too. Gloves, http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/prod ... ts_id/3599 In black.Jacket, http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/prod ... ts_id/6905Jacket is a little tight near elbows/forearms if I dont ensure the sleeves are pulled down a bit.Im in the gym alot and have wide shoulders and small waist.. big V shape so had to opt for a leather/textile as the leathers just wernt long enough for my body at the size I needed for a snug fit. All the above for £420 (little bit of discount on helmet and jacket)I need to get boots and trousers, will look at getting Boots definately before CBT as ive only got hiking boots which will be a bit of a pain. Just not sure on trousers yet...was just thinking of getting some of these biking jeans, but I dont see how they are going to work...had a feel of them and they felt no different at all to the ones I had on which were £30 from Next..
