That's illogical. Surely he meant that once you've eaten it, the apple is (well and truly) bitten?

My only experience of skateboards was when my youngest daughter hung around with some skaters and begged me to get her one, which I did and never saw her get on it once, so it sat in our barn for years. It might even still be there!

I spent my entire childhood riding skateboards. I was quite techy and good at flip tricks up, down and over smaller obstacles... but as all my mates got better, they started doing monster rails/stair sets so I eventually delegated myself to 'crew photographer/video expert' to avoid the embarrassment of standing around with a board and being too wimpy to try the same stuff my pals were doing.

I bought a skateboard (Blueprint) two summers ago and I occasionally go and join some old buddies for a blast but I like my legs/ankles/wrists/arms to remain un-broken so I tend to not bother so much these days.

Yeh i use to be hardcore into the skateboards in my early teens.

Ive still got a board which i got a few years back with a promise to get back out on it.

Only since i got a motorbike this year do i feel the hole in my life has been filled and even then im still itching to get back on it.

Just this morning i was daydreaming of skateboarding at work :)

I was mainly a street skater...just couldnt get the hang of doing it verticly.

I could kickflip, 360flip, nose grind and ollie down and 8 set.

Livingstone was my local park at the time tho i spent more time at livi square grinding benches and ollieng up and down stairs! :D

Oh how i miss it, i really must get down to check out Falkirks skatepark. My main fear is my only form of transport at the moment is my motorbike and i dont fancy trying to drive that home when im black and blue around the shins!
