Hoping to do first shakedown runs at SCR , around 20th/21st April. Running late due to waiting for freebies.

Believe it or not the megaphone has a baffle in it, but that's coming out. It's not exactly in perfect condition, but beggars can't be choosers.

Any plans for runs at the Pod mate?

There is a meeting on 4th, 5th, 6th May at Santa Pod Raceway , to be confirmed. Will try to make that depending on finances. There is I believe a 200mph meeting at RAF Woodbridge, Suffolk in early June which could be useful for setting up my gearing. Don't expect 200mph runs though!!!

There's also Run What Ya Brung meets regularly at the Pod.....if you just need shakedown runs.....

Just had an eMail from Pendine Landspeed Racers Club. My entry has been acceped. I'm in!

 

Not sure if I missed something here as the thread runs dry but did you get to Pendine?

I rode down to Pendine from Anglesey Saturday evening to meet up with mates and see some of the runs on Sunday. The event wasn't very well run from a spectator point of view but there were a few nice looking bikes there. Hopefully they'll have made enough money to be able to run it again but better next year.

I had to cancel my entry because the wife and kids said they were terrified I was gonna kill myself on the sand. A few weeks later the wife left me and took all my money

took some snap shots in the paddock and then on zoom from paddock to the sands. Don't think the sands were dry or hard enough for you to have used all or even most of the power from what you were building, from what was there you may well have won tho

Thanks mate. If I can get somemoney from somewhere, maybe the sale of my house next year, I may do some sprinting and have a go at Pendine next year.

If you had died she would have got your money anyway, so she should have let you race..

This way, you didn't get to race and she gets all your money... Cruel...

We did think it was those guys off Speed Dreams but we never spoke to them, much like on the Speed Dreams TV they were all busy headscratching trying to get the bike running right.
