Guest Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Hi everyone... My name is Steve Abbott and myself and a fellow enthusiast have just embarked on a charity project to turn a 30 year old Suzuki GSX400 into a cafe racer to raise money for Help for Heroes. Details of the project can be found here http://www.caferacer.moonfruit.comWe also have a presence on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/H4HCafeRacerProject?ref=hlWe are looking for support in several ways including donations for the build itself, buying raffle tickets to win the completed bike, offers of parts or services from companies who think they can help etc.As a minimum, could we ask those of you who use facebook to please click the LIKE button at the top left hand side of our website as this helps tremendously in getting the message out to people we alone couldn't access. We will continue to update this thread with progress and I thank you and the site owner for allowing us to promote our endeavours on your forum. Guest Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Thanks guys... We're not too concerned with the build, plenty of experience on hand, it's the funds that are more of a headache but we'll get there one way or another. Quote

Guest Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Raffle Tickets bought......good luck with the build guys...... Thanks Tango, your contribution is very much appreciated. You will receive a confirmation e mail very shortly, but just so you're aware, we are still awaiting the tickets from the printers so won't be able to send them out to you until they arrive.Ideally we would have had tickets at the launch of the project, but we needed to raise some funds first to enable us to buy them which as you will see on the website http://www.caferacer.moonfruit.com we have now managed.Good luck with the draw and as they say 'You gotta be in it to win it....' Guest Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 That's some tickets bought for me! do you use the delivery address from paypal? it didn't ask for an address that's all best of luck chaps! Hi DomI need to add delivery address to the purchase process on the website, it was an oversight on my part and hadn't realised until the first person bought some tickets yesterday.I will use the address on your paypal account unless you supply me with an alternative. The tickets will be sent out as soon as they arrive from the printers. I couldn't order them until we had raised some money which we have now. Many, ,many thanks for your support and good luck with the draw.... Quote

Guest Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Hi DomBecause I'm updating several forums with progress reports, I've decided it's easier to create a post directing people to our website progress page where we will be detailing where we are at and of course providing lots of pictures. Yesterday I got my grubby little hands on the donor bike for the first time, but didn't have much time to do any real work. However, if you click on this link http://www.caferacer.moonfruit.com/progress/4577378383 you will see the start.Look forward to posting regular updates and welcome any thoughts or comments Quote
