was thinking of giving the seals and exposed pistons a smearing of RRG to protect them from the shite on road, such as salt , brake dust.

Just a tad wary of any grease or oil next to rotors and pads, can anyone offer advise?

TBH I'd use some ACF50 wiped on with a bit of rag to protect the exposed caliper pistons......grease will allow the sh*t to stick to them......JMHO of course......

I have refurbished both my callipers and the red rubber grease will soon wash off. It is for parts were metal goes against rubber and is enclosed. The same is true for copper grease. That will not last long before it is washed away. To keep the pistons and seals working, clean them every so often.
