BMF show at Peterborough showground is on the weekend 17th-18th May....

http://www.thebmfshow.co.uk/the-shows/b ... ycle-show/

It's gotta be said that the show isn't as good as it was a few years back....but we'll still probably be going for the Weekend (camping) just for the bikes, company, beer and blues......

Sounds great - I'd love some new goodies!

I don't know of one already exists but could we have an events calendar? I get very easily muddled up with tracking dates and things I'm supposed to do so for me at least it would be very useful!

Cheers,

Fro

How come I can't delete or modify/edit my posts?

That last one about peatboghorror was shit.

It made me laugh

The business I work for recently relocated from Peterborough, and there's one particular person who is forever saying "in Peterborough this" and "in Peterborough that" - I like the Peterborough lot, but I'm starting to dread the place  BMF should fix that.

I think its really gone downhill from when they changed it from the BMF Rally to the BMF Show, now with them having all entertainment indoors its pretty shite tbh, they even search you for alcohol I mean WTF?

Its ok if you go with the right crowd, but I would just go for the day now as for camping there are much better events than this one.... :|

Anyone going?

Looks like the weather may improve at the weekend so we will be camping (if Tango gets back from Scotland in time)

We only really go for the craic - real ale bar, music and general bikeyness - although I may do some shopping

I think I`ll go on the Saturday. If anyone wants to meet up at Peterborough services about 10.00am we could take a walk around. I need new gloves and possibly a new winter base layer.

I'm going, but just for one day. Haven't got the cash to splash for camping! Plus camping gear takes up valuable space that I'd rather fill with crap I buy

Will check on here Friday night to work out which day is best to go, would be nice to meet up with others for a bit.

would love to go, and could really do with a new tank bag... but with day tickets at damn near £40 for the 2 of us, I'd have to be saving more than £40 off the retail price to make it even worth thinking about ( and that's assuming I don't count the cost of fuel ) . with the budget the way it is ( ie. non existent ) I doubt we will end up going :(

I could look out for one for you Cat and post it on. Post may be dear though due to the weight of the magnets but may still work out cheaper.

that might work neil, and tbh I don't even need the magnets if its one you can remove them from, as I have my old one with a busted zip, which I could use the magnets from

problem is it needs to be a small one....my original one is , I think , the oxford lifetime x4? , and the one im using now , borrowed from chira is an x2 I think.

any bigger and I cant reach the handlebars lol

Have to agree with some of the comments on here regarding this show. It's has gone down hill in recent years, taking the entry fee and the cost to get there into account, a bargain buy do's not work out as such a bargain when all added up! Agree It's always nice to have a ride out and meet up with fellow bikers at anytime, just a shame this show has lost some of it's shine

No bikes to sit on and drool over so not really worth going if you want to see bikes. Kit, bits, a couple of fun fare rides, food, drink and that`s about it, but like you say, worth going to meet up with fellow bikers and have a ride out (only about 16 mile for me so not that brill a ride out)

I`ll make a note of the make and size and keep a look out.

Neil, we've got another mate there who was with Cat when she got her one that's just died a couple of years ago so knows exactly what to look for. She's volunteering on one of the stands so is in all weekend so don't worry about looking but massive thanks for the offer.

Well.....we're having a top time.......some really good bands in the booze'n'blues bar. It's not all about the bargains. ....

Harley, Victory, KTM, Honda & Kawasaki with bikes here to sit on......so it's not too bad...... 8-)
