Revving and the smell of fuel problems

Does anybody know why my bike seems to be revving on it own?

Once started up she seems fine in herself but then starts to rev?

When she is running normal she seems to sit on 1 and a half revs but then she seems to creep up to around 3-3 and a half revs.

Once I cut her out there seems to be a real strong smell of fuel.

Now I have checked the throttle cable and all seems fine.

Does anybody know why she is doing this and how to go about in stopping it?

Thanks in advance!

Check the inlet stub between the carb and the cylinder head for holes or tears.....and also between the airbox and the carb......sounds like it's drawing air in somewhere.....

:stupid: Check the clip for tightness on the inlet rubber between the engine and carb too.
