Have you tried running the bike with the fuel tap set to PRI?


If it runs well check the vacuum pipe is fully opening the tap.

Rather than check the float levels, have you checked the fuel levels ? This involves using pieces of clear tubing to form U bends but you can only do it on carbs that have drain screws and spouts on the float bowls.Could be that the bike is just drinking fuel a bit faster than the bows are filling up. This could also point to a partially blocked fuel tap or internal fuel filter. This can sometimes be made worse by fitting additional in line fuel filters .

Brilliant will try that....I have got an inline fuel filter on it and do have the drain screws. I have taken the fuel tap off a few times, cleaned it up and replaced the wearable parts.


can anyone think of a solution to the problem?
