So my bikes been a bit funny about shifting into neutral. From first sometimes I'll get the click, the neutral light will come on but it'll still be in 1st gear. I can feel when it properly kicks into neutral. Usually takes me a few goes. But still have to let the clutch out real slow just to double check.

Hoping this is a problem with the switch for the light rather than the gear box.

How long have you had it?

I've had quite a few bikes that have needed a "knack" to get them in to first.

Have you tried selecting N before you actually come to a stop? That's my trick if all else fails. :-)

I've had it a couple of months.

It's finicky about going into first too at a standstill, but I've heard that's normal for the ybr, I've figured out the knack to it. But the same technique doesn't work with neutral.

Itd probably hit neutral properly before coming to a stop, it has no problem jumping into neutral when I meant to get into second.

I'll check the cable and chain are in spec when I get some tools in. (There on the way)

Simple answer is 'yes' provided that the scale is correct for the torque you need.

Remember to ensure that the thread is clean and lightly oiled before replacing the nut and applying the torque to the required setting.
