fullscreenaging Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I am looking at new pads for my upcoming novice track day so have been out and inspected my currents ones just to make sure I do need new ones. There is about 2mm of meat left to the end of the marker. Will this be enough to see me through the day? Also I'm looking for a non permanent thread locking compound for the caliper mounting bolts but can't find anything after looking in the usual places, Halfords, eBay, Amazon. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?Ta Quote
Stu Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I would replace them with a nice set of EBC HH as for the caliper bolts I have never used anything on them and not had any trouble Quote
Adam Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Blue loctite is what you need it's a medium strength version of the usual one. If you 'The Range' store near you they sell their own version for a few quid. Quote
fullscreenaging Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Thanks for that. I did a bit more research and Halfords have some in. Will be popping in tomorrow and see if I can get it on my trade card Quote
Mr Fro Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I use blue loctite on loads of stuff too.See if you can get the lipstick variety as it's easier to use and doesn't leak everywhere. Quote

From the photo I've looked at it is indeed the lipstick kind. Maybe I could slip it into my missus handbag ........ Quote
