Guest Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 So I still have the tyres on from when I bought the bike, done a few thousand miles on it. I'm pretty sure they're really sh** tyres, they always follow the lines in the road etc. All of a sudden the tyres (mainly rear) wore really quickly, assuming it was due to me thrashing it...But part of the rear tyre has worn until you can see what looks like threads in the centre. (Yes I'm aware of the danger of it)Going to replace both tyres to PR3's this weekend. Will they also wear so suddenly if I thrash it around? Quote
Tango Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 The PR3's have a harder compound in the centre of the tyre......so they shouldn't wear so quickly.....but, time will tell.... Quote
fullscreenaging Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Can't go wrong with PRs IMO. Should last best part of 8-10000 miles Quote
Who else but Quagmire Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Should last best part of 8-10000 miles I'd love a set that lasted this long.... Quote
fq-craigus Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 I have the pr2 and its weathering well so far. How sid you get down to chord though, a change should be done around 2mm really Quote
Guest Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Thanks for the replies It was around 1.5mm before I had a few quick rideouts. Since then it's done the tyres in, so this is why I've posted couldnt believe how quick they wore. Quote
Stu Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 what tyres are they? and are the pressures correct? Quote
