I-AM-THOR Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 What's a good entry level bicycle. I really like the look of boardman, they have some good looking ones for £450 and I can get one for around £250 second hand, they claim its new but you never know. But if anyone can suggest me a better bike I will look into it. It's just for keeping fit, rides with the kids. Quote
Paul-Kent Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 To be fair, Halfords Carrera brand are decent bikes, keep an eye on when they have offers Quote
fq-craigus Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Top tip, when buying a bike from halfrauds check every nut and bolt before you ride it Quote

dannybee Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 What are you wanting to use it for? I've been into my mtbs for years, tried a road bike and now have a cyclocross.Boardman and Carrera do decent entry level bikes for all styles but as said if you go new fro halfords check every bolt lol Quote
OhJay Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 What sort of bike? Road? Mountain? If you've got a Decathlon anywhere nearby then their bikes are actually rather good. I don't know much about mountain bikes, they just feel like bouncy castles to me.If you're after a road bike then the B-Twin Triban 500 is an incredible bike for the money, best bike in that price range with Carbon forks.
